All that trilogy trailer showed me was how great TDK and BB were.

I agree, it is for now. Until TA completes their trilogy in 2018 or so.

nah not really.

Then what is? No, really, name another superhero trilogy that was as good as Nolan's was. Even if you thought TDK was hyped up and TDKR wasn't even as good as either of the previous ones, you must admit it has surpassed all other superhero trilogies. Spider-Man, Blade, X-Men... Those movies have HORRIBLE third parts in their respective trilogy. Those franchises are lucky to even had a third movie made possible by not having sucky sequels or being a sucky original film. Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, Spawn, Daredevil, Punisher, etc. The lists can go on forever.

Nolan's Batman, whether or not you loved or simply liked TDKR, is indeed the best superhero trilogy of all time. Is it the greatest trilogy of all time? That's not what's being said by anyone here. Except for Void. But is that a surprise? :lol

I would have to agree that Nolan's Batman Trilogy is one of my favorites ever. It ranks up there with the original Star Wars trilogy, the Jason Bourne Trilogy, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and the Toy Story Trilogy.

Nobats trilogy>LOTR Trilogy

*Waits for DiFabio to come out of hibernation.

Sorry but no.

LOTR or SW OT are the greatest trilogy ever, my choice being LOTR.

I agree that Nolan Batrilogy is best Superhero movie trilogy though.

Yup, I just called Nolan's Batman a Superhero. :nana:

SW OT > LotR. I think it has a better dramatic structure as far as the films go. Each film follows the progression of plot but if you laid each film out on a plot structure, SW works better than LotR.

I remember this interview with GL and Leonard Maltin on the '95 VHS boxset of the original trilogy where George basically said how part one introduces characters, part two takes them and puts them in a horrible situation (a dark hole he called it), and part three shows them getting out of that dark hole and ending how it began. LotR seems to start digging its hole after the Rivendell scene in FotR and never ceases until the bajillion false endings in RotK. The ending isn't even all that happy. I felt depressed! RotK is my least favorite of the series.

Don't think I'm bashing LotR. I LOOOOVE LotR. I'm just saying for that I don't think it's a superior trilogy in terms of plot structure. Star Wars really encompasses it all for me.

Yea but the superhero genra isnt over now is it. So saying the best of all time is way to soon since we still got way more superhero movies coming. Maybe the best Bat trilogy or the best comic Trology of the early 00s but tdkr alone can be easily surpassed. It was good but to me it just wasnt as memorable as BB and tdk.

All time is good up until it gets beat...all time does not always mean forever

Has your info been verified by voidcat and associates for clear representation of authenticity. :tap

DiFab was on the set as an extra when they filmed Bat scenes that weren't in the movie. Remember the discussion about the ejection seat? :lol

:lol Fanboy bull****. Raimi's Spider-Man mirrors TDKR in trilogy comparison. Great first film, perfect second film, suckass third. Though I'd argue that Blade slides into best trilogy given I and II were awesome and three was great too, just not as good as the other two. TDKR has a "HORRIBLE third part in it's respective trilogy." Alfred goes against character and quits. BATMAN ****ING QUITS becaues Bruce Wayne chooses to abandon Gotham to run off with a thieving floozy. As a Batman film, TDKR isn't good at all. As a movie, that's a different story, but you're saying "comic book trilogy" and again, as a Batman film, TDKR blows rhea.

I knew about those and other scenes not in the movie, I read every word DiFabio posts like a stalker on JLO. :lol

I was just suprised that it was used for promotion of the movie.

So I guess deleted scenes do exist.
