Super Freak
That damn Reborn documentary is proving to be a pain in the ass to get ![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Is the steel-book not readily available for most? My Best Buy prolly had 50 of them.
This is def. the best looking/sounding blu ray I've bought this year.
This comes out today? Meh. Without a super dooper collector's edition, I really can't get as excited as I could be. I will pick up the single disc DVD edition perhaps as a Christmas gift and splurge on the Bluray Boxset next year.
No Best Buy in the UK
It's the best looking/sounding BR i've ever seen/heard
Hopefully, the UCE comes with versions of BB and TDK that are up to par.

Is the doc on the disk mags?Target didn't have it. Neither did ShopKo, Walmart, or Best Buy.
So I got the BB steel-book for the Reborn documentary.![]()
Watching this on DVD will be a shame.![]()

I must say, the IMAX sequences are probably the clearest, sharpest, technically impressive shots I have ever seen on a BD. I think I've been more impressed seeing those scenes on my Blu Ray, than I've been watching TDKR in the theatre. It really shows what Nolan meant, when he said that IMAX offers the best visual experience of all the technological gimmicks that are being developed right now (3D, 48fps).
My only gripe with it, is that the movie wasn't shot fully in IMAX. I really hope that Nolan's popularisation of the format will lead to further development of IMAX cameras, so that movies can be shot 100% in this format. It's really annying when the Blu Ray changes aspect ratios and image quality from scene to scene. Watching TDKR image in standard Blu Ray quality, right after You saw an IMAX sequence, is so jarring that it almost looks like someone suddenly put on a DVD image.

Sadly though most filmmakers like taking the easy way out and it seems the march toward digital is pretty much inevitable.
