the one thing I really love about the movie is when Bane is fighting batman and batman uses his gadget to dim the lights and Bane does the darkness speech, and Then BAM he finds Batman in the dark. That was really cool, I love how he grabs his neck, I was surprised with that.

It makes me wonder why didn't Bruce try to escape when Bane was beating him up? I mean I know there were a bunch of henchmen with guns but makes me wonder why Bruce kept getting beat up.

Also, what was the thing that Bruce threw at Bane? the thing that exploded in the air? what was that supposed to do?

Bat-flashbang? If so, it was supposed to be for distraction and immobilization. :lol

It looked like Bane had a force field when Batman threw those bombs.

Pardon if this allready been posted, it's hard to keep up with this thread. If it was, well, it's good enough for a repost.
Much better than the official trilogy retrospection trailer. The use of that rising strings theme from "Begins", at the very end of this montage, is brilliant.

That was incredible. Got goosebumps at the end. Thanks for posting.

I was good to be reminded of Harvey's line in TDK:

"Whoever the Batman is, he doesn't wanna do this for the rest of his life. How could he? Batman is looking for someone to take up his mantle."

- Someone like you, Mr. Dent?

"Maybe. If I'm up to it."

He was right. The is no way that BW could be Batman for the rest of his life. It's just not physically possible, and the writers knew it then.

As it turns out Dent was not the one to take the place of Batman, but what he stood for (the Dent act) did in fact make Batman unnecessary. That is the reason Batman is not seen for 8 years. Unfortunately, Bruce wasn't ready to put down the cowl yet, which is why he was so depressed/turned into a hermit (not because he was morning a woman, and not because he was a *****.) He no longer had the outlet that had become a crutch. Bane changes all that.

The more I think about it the more I love TDKR.

Bane was a video game boss in the sewer fight. He had 10 hearts and an invisible force shield.

Little did Batman no that all his great punches, to the head and to skin would have no effect. Even punching him in his targeted mask (which should imbed it into his face) doesn't work.

Instead, to beat Bane, you have to do several combo punches, hold in X and the analog sticks and hit the mask in sequence and graze the fragile tubes out of his mask to reduce his hearts. He also can't be beaten in the sewers, only outside.

If only Batman read through the Dark Knight Rises strategy guide before he played.

great post but it was more than just a woman he was mourning for

(not because he was morning a woman, and not because he was a *****.) He no longer had the outlet that had become a crutch.

Then how come in that same scene he looks at Rachel when Dent brings this up? He even notices them holding hands there too and it catches him off guard (that and the, "someone would notice if I was out at night", implying that Rachel gave it up to Dent).

Bruce wanted to stop being Batman for RAAAAACHEL, period. At the end of Begins he wants this and he wants it in the beginning of TDK.

"But, but *sob*, Rachel, Alfred."

"My one true hope, *sob*, for a normal life."

He was mourning cuz she died and because he's a *****. It's simple. Imagine if he did these things when his parents died. There wouldn't even be a Batman.

Terrible, terrible. This is why I dislike TDKR and it feels like "Plan B" since Ledger was gone.

I'm still amazed that you dissect this film as much as you do and just refuse to focus on the basics of the story and how it relates to us...It just seems like you are focusing on the capillaries when you should be looking at the heart and arteries of the film...You completely miss or even refuse to see the big picture

What confuses me is, if people hate it so much, why keep coming to this thread?

Sharing what you love about a film in a thread about that film seems more apropos and productive than repeatedly coming into that thread and sarcastically preaching about how terrible it is.

It reminded me most of COD at the very end, some camping ***** on a batpod stole his kill:lol
