You know its funny to all the people that talk ____ on Nolan Bat-films, and use The Avengers to prove their arguement. The Avengers was 3D, which is $5 more per ticket than a 2D movies. So all those guys bragging about it making $207 opening weekend, dont even realize its in a completely different catagory than movies like The Dark Knight Rises. Meaning it was bound to make more money regardless of success. Thats like winning a "Who's Fatter" contest while holding weights.

Can anyone tell me why at the end of TDK Bruce Wayne goes into hiding and gives up being Batman (which would never happen), but still finishes the Batcave? Why? If he's done being Batman, why build the Batcave? For those who say it was already built, I say bull. If so he would've been using in TDK it as Wayne Manor was being reconstructed.

Why would it "never" happen? He is terribly physically degenerated as we see and if the police hounded him relentlessly post-Dent, possibly psychologically drained as well.

And finishing the cave is just part of the ambiguity and discomfort of all those in the know.

Fox keep the secret R&D archive at the ready. Gordon keep the rusting, smashed Bat signal in place. Bruce keep the Bat Pod and suits ready to go at short notice.
