Do you like Star Wars DarkMagic?

I sense a trap. :panic:

I do "like" Star Wars, but I am definitely not a fanatic of it like the Star Wars fans that could tell you every type of alien, ship, and planet in that universe.

Like you, I'm way more of a Batman fanatic.

Thanks for the careful read of my wall of text :hi5:...You're right, a 1972 or 73 birthday doesn't mesh with him celebrating his 30th in 2005...d'oh! Time for another revision.

He was born in 1975.

His parents were still killed in 1983, making him 8 years-old instead of 10 or 11 as I previously suggested. (interestingly this is more in line with the comics version)

He drops out of Princeton in 1996 at age 21.

He returns to Gotham seven years later in 2003 at age 28.

He celebrates his 30th birthday in 2005. (You'll notice this revised timeline is still assuming BB takes place over a couple of years)

Rutger Hauer's mention that the Wayne's were killed 20 years ago still fits.

It still irks me about the time line of him being Batman. By your timeline, it took Batman two years to question Flass and find the apartment in the Narrows. It would hardly make since if it were anyone else besides Batman. It would only take him a week tops in my mind; and why would Crane wait a couple of years to dispose of the last shipment of bunnies.

As with Princeton, someone already mentioned it might have been grad school and it makes as much since, giving all the more reason for his apathy about the matter.

I dont see what is insensitive by linking you guys to a funny quote from Tom Hardy who played bane in the movie. I didnt make anything up. I just posted the link.

Grow up. Gotta report everything! Cant have people running around slandering bane.

You know damn well what you did man. Dont play stupid.
You slandered a bisexual man saying he cant be a "manly man" because of that, and comparing him to Ru Paul. Thats what the insensitivity is.

And "grow up" doesn't mean crap from a guy argueing from behind a computer screen.

Im not going to force acceptance on someone, but insults like that are just offensive. If you dont get that, then you're one ignorant person.

Done with you.

You answered your own question there.

"It will be nice when Wayne Manor is rebuilt"

They were in the process of building it in TDK. He wasn't planning on the Joker attacks happening, Dent turning etc.

Again if the batcave was complete he would've been using it. Since we have to assume it was not complete yet at the end of TDK and Batman is done at the end of the movie why finish the Batcave knowing you'll never use it

Awww...*runs away and cries* :(

Haha, yeah DiFabio definitely had the photographic evidence, I'll give him that. :hi5: I couldn't be bothered to start looking photos/screengrabs up.

Eh, it's all fun. :yess:

I'm enjoying this back and forth. It makes the older films like Begins more relevant, more to talk about.

I think we can all agree that the creators of these films didn't think of the timeline. Many sequels do this, Star Wars and Terminator comes to mind, especially T2. For me, these Batman films don't really connect other than, again, the arc of Bruce Wayne. That's the only absolute throughout all these films, the story of Bruce Wayne and Batman. It's the stories that are important.

I've got to agree with Indiana. It's a nice theory about the main story of Begins taking place from 2003-2005 but it really seems like it takes place in a matter of days, which I'm pretty sure it does. If not, damn is Bruce/Batman slow. :lol

It's a nice suggestion though and I do like reading all those dates and thinking about them.

Zsasz U gay bro? I mean you seem to really be offended by such a throwaway post. Let it go. It's over.

Haha I didn't compare him to Ru Paul. I said how would you feel if Ru Paul played batman? Also..whats wrong with ru paul? Are you prejudice against people like him?

I agree with pretty much everything you said there. The timeline probably wasn't well thought-out by the filmmakers, that's why it's so tough (and fun!) to try to make things fit.

I also absolutely agree that the exact dates/years of events is secondary to the general order of events, which itself serves the most important thing---the story.

True, I think it also goes to show that Nolan actually DID more or less take it one film at a time, rather than have a grand plan to begin with.

It's a nice suggestion though and I do like reading all those dates and thinking about them.

In other news, look what I found - some kitteh's enacting TDKR scenes

What if I was? What would that change?

Nothing, nothing at all.

It would explain to me why you would feel so offended about it though. You seem to really resent his posts.

Looking through his history he seems harmless. I thought the little thing about Hardy was funny and I'm clearly not a homophobic individual. How about we just get off the subject? The inspector was pocking fun at Bane/Hardy, not a group of some kind.

Lets talk about Batman/The Dark Knight Rises.

Yeah, he did. I admire that he admits it too.

It always bugged me when George Lucas says that "I had the story of Star Wars in head since the beginning". Clearly he didn't. He made it up as he went along.

That's story telling.

Well Im not, but I just get really offended to what I feel is insensitivity towards the subject for personal reasons. But I appreciate the calm attitude and I will drop it. Thank you.
