Honestly, I'm surprised Bane didn't fall to his death in some way.

90% of villains fall in these stories. Joker, Hans Gruber, Two-Face, Gestan. Considering this movie was about Rising, I dunno, MISSED OPPURTUNITY FOR SOME SYMBOLISM!

The only thing I didn't like about the final scene was Bane's anticlimatic death.

Everything leading up to it I thought was awesome, ESPECIALLY how brutal Batman got.

Don't get me wrong I agree the scene did more right than it did wrong. I also really didn't like the way they killed Bane. It all hapened so fast and was never referenced again. It all most feels like Bane didn't die (those batpods pack some serious heat so in my mind he is clearly dead). I also thought batman rehashing Bane's you have my permission to die line was pretty weak.

In a way I thought it was fitting that Catwoman got to kill him. He was blackmailing and using her the whole film and he thought she was in his pocket.

Ras and Talia. ;)

Yeah, their vehicles (the train and the HEMTT) both take nose dives. Talia doesn't go BLAMO though. :lol

STILL, Bane needed to fall too. Maybe do a barrel roll down the court house steps after he loses his ____.

I did like the idea of Catwoman just blowing him with the Batpod canons. I just wish it left more of an impact on me, like a crowd cheer moment like "yeah, that ____er is dead!"

I think it's kind of funny that both father and daughter died in a vehicular accident while transporting their dooms day devices. I know batman has his one rule and all, but it seems like this is his way of working around it. Not to mention the henchman driving the garbage truck who Batman certainly killed with his tumbler in TDK.

Back from second viewing, much better, IMO. Things that bothered me initially didn't seem to bother me the second time around.

Once you know what to expect, the film flows much better, the editing isn't as bad, and the story seems more concise.

It isn't perfect by any means, but a damn good film and the best '3rd' in any trilogy I can think of.

For some reason I have this strong feeling that Batman would be in it too had Ledger lived.

I remember that moment. I was like, oh, those people a dead. Yeah, movie heroes can kill people with guns but Batman can kill people by crushing their windpipe and shattering their spine and pushing them over ledges. And by vehicular manslaughter.
