Until then, though, the new Mad Max himself, Tom Hardy will be reuniting with his “Inception” director Christopher Nolan
on the third “Batman” film. No word yet on the role Hardy will play in the movie, just that it will be a “lead role”, which probably means he’s playing Bat’s latest villain. Or ally. Or one of those.
Let the guessing commence!
Nolan is expected back to direct “Batman 3″ for Warner Bros., which if it picks up after the events of “The Dark Knight” (and there’s no reason why it wouldn’t), will find Batman (Christian Bale) once again playing the outlaw protector to Gotham City.
It’s interesting casting, though. If Hardy has indeed been tapped to play the latest villain, he could very well be everyone from The Riddler to Bane. I mean, the guy is a chameleon. Check out his two latest roles below and you’ll see what I mean.

My best friend sent me a text on Oct. 3rd. In it, he claimed to have been told by his friend what works at Warner Bros. that Hardy had been cast as the Riddler. I disregarded it, as we have a history of messing with each other in regards to Bat news.... but then today, when news broke I got a "told you" from him. What else did his text say????

My friend was told by his co-worker who was told by a UPS guy that delivers packages near Warner Bros that your friend is wrong. Sorry.
