Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I'd be willing to bet there are just as many great third films in a series as there are awful. Just off the top of my head I'll give you...

LOTR: Return of the King
Toy Story 3
The Bourne Ultimatum
The Good the Bad and the Ugly
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban *3rd film in series
Goldfinger *3rd Bond film

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I'm just screwing around. But hey, there's a solid past history to judge how well the third installments are remembered in trilogies. Just sayin....

I forgot to add At World's End.

None of those films you listed are comparable to the greatness that Nolan always brings to the table. Not even those classic films from those trilogies can touch the likes of a film by Christopher Nolan.

This series, soon to be motion picture film trilogy will raise the bar in what people consider to be a high caliber film. In fact, judging by the trailer alone it has already transcended beyond it. Anything like Star Wars, previous Batman films, Lord of the Rings or anything that you list, or think of listing can never come close.

Toy Story 3 FTW!

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I'm just hoping that the dark knight rises is so amazing and the ending is so shocking that it will make me cry. in the theater, thats what i want. I want this movie to make me cry on the movie theater as soon as it ends :yess::yess::yess::yess:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Truth be told, I cried when Harry Osborn died in Spider-Man 3. Perhaps not a flood of tears but a sad, lump in my throat nonetheless.

You are just a child. When you are a man and have tasteful sensibilities when it comes to cinema, Nolan films will be the ones you seek and the ones that will comfort you. Then and only then will you realize and appreciate what entertainment and story telling really is.

This Batman trilogy will be man kind's greatest achievement that any film after it will no longer matter. For you see, no mere human can or will be able to conceive such an acclaimed, thought provoking, piece of art once you see what comes to be on July 20th 2012.

What if Man of Steel is better than any Batman movie???????????????????????????????? You know it probably will be action-wise by default, but what if? Don't tell me ur too much of a fanboy of Batman to think the original superhero can't sneak up and snatch that s__t from him. Plus, Nolan is overseeing it too so...

BTW im not a Superman fanboy, but the character deserves respect for the legacy he started.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Wow, so you really believe Nolan will make a 4th Batman movie with Joker returning, interesting.

:lol

That is the only good part I remember from that movie. And no it's not because he died. :lol

With Nolan's involvement along with his genius ideas for a grounded take on the Man of Steel I predict a very successful Superman film.

It will not be on the same pedestal as the great Batman trilogy, but it will be the very best Superman interpretation in any medium.

Wow.....I'm not even on Spidermans bandwagon THAT much.

I'm glad I put my earplugs in so that The Fabio could speak and reveal the rehtards.

I am like a snake charmer. With my posts I lure these rehtards you speak of, these snakes, out of their baskets as a means to educate them about Christopher Nolan's gift of Batman to the world.
