Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I'm pretty convinced that this is the basic outline as it brings things full circle:

Ra's is still alive and/or Talia runs the League of Shadows.

BANE is what Batman/Bruce SHOULD'VE been. He was trained by the LoS and unlike Bruce, he actually follows through with "destroying evil" even if it means taking out the good guys too. Of course, a priority is put out on Gotham and part of the reason for allowing all the inmates out to cause trouble and distract Batman is that it'll be easier to destroy everyone in the city.

Catwoman is out running amuck, probably comes around in the end and helps Batman.

Batman probably dies, sacrificing himself to save the city, is labeled a hero.

Turns out Batman was actually displaced through time after he dies and returns to past eras of Batmen. Cave Batman, Pirate Batman....oh wait, now I'm getting mixed up with Final Crisis.

I think Batman will be recast for any possible JLA movie. Though I think DC should have several more successful movies before they attempt such a thing. Their various heroes haven't been doing so well lately.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Yeah, i'd say good bet that's what it's inspired by.

But that CGI model is too buff for Bale - look at that torso!

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I'm pretty sure the reference was a high resolution version of this.

I had one of these pics in my files but it was a different angle. Can't find it, but I'm sure this TDKR 3D render is based off it. Same pose but fists clenched, same scene in Arkham but the difference is the perspective is directly in front of him walking. Like this,

They obviously used it too for reference.

Oh and speaking of Jim Lee Batman, this is really ironic that that was brought up in this thread. Get this.

A few ____ heads on that designs by humans t-shirt competition ripped off actual images for their t-shirts . . . and made it in. It wasn't even 100% theirs!

That Jim Lee Batman above was actually manipulated for the shirt. So was the Begins poster and the current TDKR cowl poster. I recognized them instantly. They should have been disqualified from submitting like me, but they weren't.

Tell me that isn't from the Begins poster, or that isn't Jim Lee's Batman image from above (symbol, cape hanging to the left shoulder etc.), and the cowl from the teaser.
