Sure, that's one way to look at it,. Personally, I think it's a brilliant move. A lot of these people don't look at this stuff through the Marvel or DC branded rose-colored glasses that we do, they just want to see a Superhero film, and even the most loyal Marvel fan will see a Batman film (and vice versa). DC is taking this into account, and I see this move as "Hey there, congrats on sitting in your most anticipated movie and all, but now, what do you have left to anticipate? Well, how about this?" (i.e. their film is simultaneously reaching every person who goes to see The Avengers).

Interesting, I've also been wondering about Mathew Modine's role in this.



The movie studio, the writer, and whats his face Van Wilder destroyed GL, Marvel just drove by and laughed.

Then Marvel looked on their shelf at the awesome Daredevil, Fantastic Four, Elektra, Man-Thing and Ghost Rider crap fest movies and thought to themselves "yup, been there" and drove on.

Don't forget Jonah Hex from DC. Marvel is still leagues ahead of DC movie wise. They may be creating some failures, but at least a ton of their characters are actually making it to the big screen. DC on the other hand...lets just say Batman cannot represent the entire company in his movies. Superman is the only other guy they seem to have faith in, and even he fails.

Absolutely, but those aren't Marvel Studios films which have been making bank.

and Superman Returns was pretty bad. DC got Batman right, and thats about to be over.

As bad as those films were, they were hands down better than Batman & Robin which has gotta be tied with The Phantom (former DC and Marvel property) for worst comic move of all time.

Since basically everyone involved in the mess around here has been through this sort of speech and warning before, and already had moderator "wise up" warnings, this is it. I'm glad the trailer will be with Avengers, I've only ever seen the trailers on the PC because they tend to play with movies I don't want to see, but I'm just seeing it when it works.
