I have the Batman Begins "Street Jacket" -- the subtle one with the bat symbol, not the one that looks like the actual batsuit. I couldn't see myself ever wearing the TDK or BB batsuit versions, though.

They're really nice. Well-fitted. Quality leather. Fully-armored shoulders, forearms and back. Vented for comfort. They're good looking, and completely practical and functional protective motorcycle jackets.

I actually want to get the black BB boots and TDK gloves (with armored knuckles) to go along with it.

That's the only thing I don't like about Nolan's Catwoman. I know of Catwoman from the Adam West series, Batman Returns and Batman TAS, and she's always struck me as a manipulator and a physical fighter, I've never seen the character as one to use weapons like guns or knives.

Not to say it won't work, but it's the only thing about Nolan's Catwoman I take issue with from pictures alone.

maybe its just a marketing thing: I can see the sales people asking, 'ok woman in leather? Check. Red lipstick? Check? Gun in her hand? Yes!!!!'

If you mean just for posters and marketing art, no, it's not just for that, she's seen in production shots from the film wielding the gun. Now, it might just be a short term thing, and marketing is pushing it for reasons like you say, time will tell, but she doesn't wield a gun at some point in this movie.

The latest trailer for this, the one that was with The Avengers, was so epic. I really, really, want to enjoy this trilogy.
Think I'm going to go watch Batman Begins and The Dark Knight again and force myself to enjoy them...

Well we see her using hand to hand combat in the trailer, so I think she'll have those skills and use them. I lean towards the gun thing being an in the moment thing. I can't think of any shots where it looks like she has a holster for it, and she has no vehicle except the Batpod, which I think is more on loan now and not stolen, only the Lambo is stolen
