Received this very rare diorama by a third party who casts and paints sculpts by Narin. He did an amazing paint job as seen in the photos. I noticed not many members showing this piece so this an opportunity to show off the grail of my predator collection.

Very nice. I've been hoping SS would produce a Dutch PF to display with the Predator maquette.

I just got one of these in myself painted by the great Joe Dunaway.

The reason there's not that many pics is because the kit is 500 plus dollars and has to be delivered from Thailand. It's also an insanely detailed kit as all of Narin's work is and requires a very skilled and experienced paintmaster to fully do it justice.

I hope the original poster simply meant to say that he got one of these from someone who works in Thailand with Narin casting and painting his prototypes, etc.

Recasts of Narin's kits exist of course but he makes it harder for his own special series by casting them in unique peach colored resin and also numbering each kit.

Mine for instance is 24/50.

What is your number retyu123?

I've got this amazing piece, original from Narin, numbered and airbrushed by myself.
Anyway the kit is cool and i'm airbrushing alot of predator kits from narin and it seems to me the kit you have is a Recast...

I for one think this is a BADASS piece.

who cares if its a recast , its freaking awesome

Not a good opinion, just saying.

Wait, so you bought a recast of a Narin piece? Not cool unless he, Narin, has given the third party permission.

I am well aware recasting is looked down upon in the collectible community. But IMO Recasting an officially licensed product is one thing...recasting an unlicensed garage kit is another.

I may be wrong, aren't Narin's kits illegal-UNLICENSED garage kits? I know when companies like Sideshow, Bowen, Hot Toys and Fred Barton Productions pay top dollar for the rights to use and produce the likeness of specific characters and and sell them with hopes of making a profit. If my statment (of Narin selling unlicensed kits) is correct, i say who gives a ____ about recasting his illegal kits...i mean he obviously doesn't care about doing the right thing...right?

I don't want this to be endless discussion but I want to say something about this as his friend.

Yes he gives a damn about people recasting his work. Even though he knows that he makes something unofficial licensed.I think at least he spends years to make this thing not a single day for pour resin into mold.

However, it is true that it is unofficially kit so many people don't give a ____. I just feel sorry for him.
