I gave Expendables 2 as many minutes as the number in its title. I think it's cool they got a bunch of actors in one movie, but hey, I rather watch the snooze fest that is the Golden Globes which has even more big names under one roof than this sure-to-be debacle.

These movies are terrible. Nothing but star power but when it's old, tired, practically washed up star power there has got to be good story telling. And expendables 2 sucked *****. The movie quotes thrown around from other actors former characters was superbly stupid.
The action wasn't even ground breaking.. The best yet was Terry crews auto shotty clear out.

I hope but doubt this one will get any better

And no, because there will be more, it will be awful. In this case, less is more. They are banking on the actors selling the movie. Not the actual movie itself, since it was written on a piece of *** wipe in a bathroom stall.

These are like Friday the 13th movies. Nobody is watching them for the engrossing plots.

He has a point though. *****ing about a lack of story in essentially 80's action flicks is like *****ing about there being too much potato in french fries.

It's not about having the plot since there's no movie w/o it.

The point is you can either write and shoot First_Blood / Predator / Die_Hard... or I_Come_in_Peace.
Or even something closer to Reb Brown movies, they has fanbase too

The casts bring you in every time. The actual films never end up doing much for me but I'll be damned if that teaser didn't have me rubbing my hands together with glee yet again. Snipes, Banderas, Gibson and Ford. Gotta see this.

Not really fair. I don't see First Blood as an action flick. It's sequels, sure, but First Blood, no. Like Rocky, it's a drama, but with a harsh political message. Predator, let's be honest, was a fluke. I'm happy as hell it worked, but everything about it says it shouldn't have. Die Hard is your a-typical action movie but not comparable given the protagonist is your everyman who can actually act (not that you'd know it from his current films ), not even remotely close to 99% of the cast in these films.
