I'm as excited for this as I've been for the first 2, the 80s action films are some of my most favorite and these movies bring them back and my favorite actors from them are as enjoyable today as they were back then.

I think I am most excited to see Antonio Banderas and Stallone on screen together again. I thought they worked well together in Assassins. Seeing Ford in that teaser is pretty cool too. Looking forward to this.
Also Wesley being back is awesome!

It's not about having the plot since there's no movie w/o it.

The point is you can either write and shoot First_Blood / Predator / Die_Hard... or I_Come_in_Peace.
Or even something closer to Reb Brown movies, they has fanbase too

If you don't like 'em don't watch 'em....its as simple as that. These films are as much about nostalgia as they are about the story, everyone knows these guys aren't what they were in the '80s but the people who like these films don't give a **** about that in the first place.

I feel like some people think these movies are made with intent to be some amazing new film, but that's not the point, they're just nostalgic fun for the actors who thrived in the genre and the fans of it, they're not trying to compete with the likes of today's action flicks, no one's naive enough to think movies with 60 year old Sly, Willis and Arnold will compete with ones starting the Rock or Vin Diesel with today's audiences. They just want to do a few more films like they made their careers on while they can and if some fans enjoy it great, if not, no big deal. These movies aren't major box office draws but they keep gettin made, there's a reason for that.

Too bad none of those were remembered by writers of these "love letters".

I don't know the box office numbers, but I bet these movies do pretty well internationally.

They don't bomb and I do believe they see sold international business, but they're also not blockbusters like the franchises of their primes were. In a Hollywood where movies don't seem with sequels unless you're doing 500 million to a billion at the box office, it's nice to see these continue to roll out. I'm sure the budgets are lower than most of today's action films too.

I thought 2 was horrible, at least 1 had the cool tunnel battle.

Rambo 4 was better than both though.
