She's just in the planning stages right now, we want to include a watcher's head to the base and a flexible pole so she can be in more dynamic poses so I've suggested doing two hair pieces, one of her hair down and the other of it flowing in the wind.

What about the head sculpt? Are you planning to do two? One with the head piece and one without?
And, how the idea with the hair would work? Will it be magnetic?

I think a Watcher is more iconic and it still appears in FW like you mentioned but I guess we'll see!

Agreed, please go with the Watcher; definitely more iconic.

If it's not too difficult to do without introducing potential issues, I think it would be nice to include options for both the HZD Shield Weaver headdress and the HFW Anointed Carja tiara to represent both games since the rest of the outfit is the same. Making it swappable/removable would also satisfy people who turn the headgear off in the game.

I can already see myself and others getting two figures with the multiple weapon options and the possible inclusion of the alternate dynamic hair. Might need another on top of that if both headdresses are included.

The dynamic stand is a great idea, though I would suggest a regular support is included as well. It's inconvenient when Hot Toys only includes a dynamic support pole and not a standard one and people often complain about it.

Also, I think Flame-Haired would've been a more appropriate title since Petra calls her that, but there was still no mistaking who the thread was about at least.

Only one for now, but you never know, we might have to make the head piece attached to the sculpt in which case we would need two sculpts, the different hair pieces is only an idea at this point.

We'll look into the headgear a bit more before making a decision, as for a regular support and the other stuff nothing is decided yet, we're just at the planning stages right now.
Well, until then, my latest figure of her will have to suffice.

I love mini Aloy!

Please please please just make sure there is an option to not have headgear on this figure! All I ask!

Of course, we won't limit the figure to one look.
That's great to hear! If this sells as well as the gunslinger is it possible we may get an accessory pack for Flame Hair? I remember reading recently that the team was looking into making additional accessories for the gunslinger and I'm curious to see if this might be something the team does going forward.

I’m not sure how much you could really do with an accessory pack for this character. It works for the Gunslinger because there’s just so much stuff that character has his hands on in those games.

For Aloy - maybe some extra bows, a health potion set, some broken off machine parts. Not sure how much else would make sense realistically.

Tons of options. The variety in weapons alone. Hunter bows, precision bows, warrior bows, tripcasters, slingshots, the bolt gun thing I never use, her regular spear, her upgraded spear, different arrows, different traps. On the item side of things potions, glintstones, medicine berries, a machine part or two like a machine heart or scrap metal.

Her bows are too complicated and too specific to made into accessory packs since they can only be used for her really, we're trying to keep the costs down for this figure since she's so complicated that making too many accessories will just raise the costs to produce her but of course she will come with her bow, arrows and spear, as far as other accessories we're considering the GAIA kernel, globe necklace, her head piece and a potion, of course it's all just in the planning stages right now.

I guess all I would suggest here is please don’t skimp on the arrows. Plenty of those will really help her look! Can’t imagine those would be too costly to make either.

Finished Forbidden West a couple weeks ago and I liked it a lot, but I thought the story in the first one was better. I thought A**y was very one note. She sounded bored and annoyed for the vast majority of it. Less dynamic than I remembered.
I wasn't a huge fan of the Zenith storyline. I wish they used Sylens more. The way Beta was acted was cool though. I thought she was just going to sound the same and I was going to be annoyed, but she changed it up.
That being said, I think the fire haired machine huntress would be a great figure if the headsculpt and hair is done right!

I actually liked Aloy's arc and it's message, most of the game she tried to be someone she's not and do things alone, along the way she realizes that she's not Elisabet Sobeck and she shouldn't try to be because for all her brilliance Sobek was very a egotistical lonely person who pushed everyone away and died alone, at the end of the day Aloy is finally able to understand and accept that she needs her friends/companions and the emotional support and help they give her, it's a simple message but effective because we humans often times isolate ourselves and try to do everything by ourselves even though deep down we all know we need eachother, be it for the simpler things or in Aloy's case, saving the world haha. I also really appreciate how Rost is shown more respect in this game, in the first one it feels like Aloy quickly replaced him as a parental figure with Elisabet, in this one she aknowledges it's Rost who shaped her into who she is, that said I didn't care much for that other arc as well, definitely feels underdeveloped left us with a lot of unnaswered questions, it was basically a plot device to set up the next game, maybe it's for the best that it didn't take up too much of the plot since it did feel weaker compared to discovering all the answers to the mistery of the world in the first game.

I agree with basically all of that. For me, I think it comes down to 2 things. One: Sylens was much more interesting in the first game than the villains in this one, including him, although he wasn't really a villain in Zero Dawn. Two: I loved learning about the world for the first time and the mystery behind basically the whole plot in the first one. And to clarify, I feel the same way about her arc, I was talking about the voice acting.

I haven't finished Forbidden West just yet (about 60% done it looks like), so I'm not reading under the spoilers for anything. But I see this mentioned a lot about how she always sounds like she's over everyone's ****, sassy, or generally uninterested and one note. For reference, I started seeing people say that that around 1/4 into the game and so I paid closer attention and tried to really look for it... And, I don't see it. I keep looking at her interactions where she's helping people, talking to her companions back at the base, and she seems generally engaged. Sometimes I'll see where she's over someone's ****, but... it's not a majority of the game at all. I almost feel like people aren't understanding the situation she's in.

She has this vast knowledge of what the reality of the world is, what's behind everything and how it all works. But she's surrounded by people who keep killing each other and engaging in insane rituals and politics, while parroting ideas of "Gods" and other fantastical ideas that came from things as mundane as an interactive museum hologram.

Like, could you imagine the amount of frustration you'd feel carrying that around? Knowing that all the fighting, death, and politics is based on a complete misunderstanding or how the world actually works?

All that being said, I definitely think I like the story from 1 a lot better. It's hard to capture that sense of wonder from the first game. As you play through, realizing what happened, the amount of misunderstanding in the world, how it came to be etc.

Ashley Burch used her "Batman voice" a lot more in the second game. If you compare any random cutscene from part 2 to part 1 you'll notice how different she sounds in the second one. She's speaking more from the chest, deepening her voice and it can be a little breathy and a little forced whispery. It seems like a creative decision to make her sound older and more mature. I think it works most of the time, but there are moments where this speaking style can come across as bored or annoyed.
