Still only hearing that this is "the best DCEU film" which really isn't saying much at all. Is it a good film on it's own?
Reviews I've read (spoiler and otherwise) tend to agree the first hour is tough to get through, but it picks up
when Keaton finally shows up (not much of a spoiler but maybe people don't want to know how long it takes).
And Miller cannot carry a movie on his own. Perhaps fitting this will most likely be his swan song.

If this thing goes gangbusters at the box office, DC is going to force Gunn to make a sequel work within his vision. Miller will be back. Money is the ruler of all.

What is gangbusters for a DC movie though? The early DCEU was averaging 750-800 million but that wasn't enough. No DCEU movie has broken 400 million in the last 5 years.

That's up for the DC execs to decide but with a budget of over 300 million I am sure they are expecting Aquaman numbers, or at least were before the Ezra backlash.

From what I've read about the ending, and I don't know if it's true, a sequel could easily work.

Pretty sure the entire thing is on youtube in one minute chunks released by WB.

They really don't believe in saving anything for the theater anymore.

Ghostbusters Afterlife was the same way. Damn near everything in the movie was spoiled with their constant "new!! exclusive clip from upcoming movie!!" stuff.

It's too much! They also have mini-trailers, before the trailer, for the trailer. Are people's attention spans that short?

If it were me, I would have left it at that initial teaser trailer and trailer 1, nothing more.

Really surprised by the clips they’ve decided to release. That and the director spoiling one of the cameos. I just don’t get it.

I miss the old days before everyone had ADD.

They don't care, they just want your money. They need butts in seats, and if they have to ruin the experience to do it, they will. They will show you every good frame just to get you in.

If they really, truly thought they had something good -- "the best comic book movie ever" -- would they really keep showing you more and more of the movie before it opens?
Yea they would. Cockiness maybe . Or they wanna shove it down people’s throats . Desperation probably

It's dumb because word-of-mouth is the best (and free) advertising. And with phones, word-of-mouth can go global in seconds.

Anyway, it just tells me the movie is likely not that great -- just like MoM, just like GOTG3, just like Quantumania, just like all the other supposedly amazing movies that came before it.

At least with Indy 5, we all know it sucks.

But why would anyone really want that when we know it's all getting revamped? They can't do anything new if they're still putting duct tape and Bondo on Snyder's refuse.

It’s at 72 on rotten tomatoes with almost 100 reviews… are people still buying this is supposedly one of the best comic book movies ever? At this rate it will be lucky to stay above 70 and get a certified fresh rating.

Rotten Tomatoes is a failed metric in my opinion. You do not have to go far to find wide differences in rating between critics and audience. Super Mario was a 59% by critics and most people thought it was wonderful. I take audience score more into consideration, especially for summer movies.
