And since when do I have paintings of lines? I don't paint. I draw and I've never drawn a straight line by itself and acted as though it was anything to be considered "art."

As I said, I don't think I'm getting my point across.. But it's OK, just leave it at that.

And when I wrote about lines I didn't mean YOU you, but as in general, it was just a wrong way to express, sorry, english is not my first language.
I meant to say that there is type of art, where one straight line and two dots is considered to be a piece of art.

Bottom point I was getting at is, in my opinion, it's a wrong way to look at tattoos (the way you look at them), but really..it doesn't matter.

I'm saying, you shouldn't be saying something you wouldn't like to hear about your own piece.

All tattoos I have on me are done for myself, not for showing off..Some people see it and appreciate it, some say I'm an idiot..I don't care for any of these comments as I know I'm satisfied with it.

And after all, who are you to call something art or not? Once straight line could be art...hell, you have actually paintings looking like that..so it is art..art can be virtually anything.

I have no intention to argue or anything, I simply said that in my opinion, you should really know better then make such "ugly" post, when I know that even this forum has bunch of people that would say the very same thing about your tattoo, and I know you wouldn't feel nice reading that.

It's just the wrong way to think about tattoos. (in my opinion )

I hope to *finally* get my first tat before year's end, of a cross. Ideally I'd love to get it next month on the anniversary of my cousin's death to remember him. Still remember going with him when he got his first. I'm not sure where to place it on my arm just yet.

I'm sorry about your cousin and a cross would be a nice homage to him if he was Christian. For small things like that I like the inner forearm, above the wrist. I don't recommend the wrist..that's pretty painful.

Not a big name fan. I always want to ask why people get that. Like are you going to forget their name? The real funny ones are people that get their last names tattooed across their back.

I would recommend something more original. Maybe something that makes you think of your son or something to represent his birth?

Portraits are cool but you really need a good artist.

Just my take on that. Good luck to you! Whatever you get I'm sure it will be special and mean a lot to you.
