Got this as a birthday gift from my sister. Boondock Saints tat. Hurt like a mother ____er getting tatt'd on the knuckles.

Hell yes! I want to get that but Veritas! Boondock Saints is my fav movie and it was awesome meeting Sean! Props for getting that done!

I have thought about getting a tat a lot.

I want to get Smaug sitting on a big pile of treasure and I'd make sure that a single scale in his belly would be missing.

I want it on my forearm to cover up some scaring from an accident a long time ago.

Is there any tips to working on scar tissue? I know others have had their scars covered up but I hear it can be difficult.

I'd say speak to a good tattoo artist. Find a good one by asking around. Facebook worked for me. It seemed a lot of people that did not know eachother were recommending the same artists to me. I'm pretty sure the scar tissue shouldn't be an issue...it just may not hold detail very well if the skin is damaged deep enough or may distort the image if its a significant "bump". But, again, just find a good artist...and don't trust google!! Some of what people say is completely wrong (surprise).

Really like the tattoos in this thread some great work. I wish i could get a tattoo but it's an impossibility because of medical issues, i get blood work twice a week etc. If i could get a tattoo it would be something star wars related most likely a simple line work drawing of Vader's helmet.

Darth...have you asked your doctor if it's ok? If its an issue of blood loss...you shouldn't lose much, if any, blood with a good artist. I only bled a tiny bit at the end when he applied white ink. I never asked why but I know he was really getting the white in there deep.

When I was 17 I got a girls name tatoo on my arm,3 years later I was getting it covered up,10 years later I did it again,same girl same name,now I'm just leaving it and only dating girls named carrie.

I think in the case of blood work, im not sure of the medical issues at hand, but I know most donation places wont take blood from someone who has tattoos so getting tattoos must have something to do with ink in the bloodstream maybe...or some kind of chemical maybe...not really sure about that, just not the first time Ive heard or seen "blood work and no tattoos" together

Yeah, that was just a cover-up. Im planning on getting The Dark Knight Returns Batman profile on my left foot, and The Killing Joke Joker profile on my right foot.

My ears are 00g there, Im wearing those tapers because of a bad infection I have at the time. Im 5/8th's now.

Thats exactly what it is. Its a sugar skull. Thats only half. The other side of my arm only has the outlining of whats to come. But Im not showing anybody till its done.
