Could this be the next M Icon figure, and might Sideshow be distributing it like the Giant James Dean and Wild One Brando?

It can't be an ICON figure because it uses the Vito Corleone name. Thats completely licensed. If it were a generic figure like that it'd be something like "Gangster" or something not relating to The Godfather directly.

At least with Sideshow, they only have the rights to the Brando Don, so no DeNiro or Pacino yet as far as we know.

Deniro would be the Wild card because with the SSC Scarface line I doubt Pacino would be that difficult...

HT has the Brando Estate 12" License. That's why I now think this is a "Vito" or some GF derivation they're doing ala the Brando WW Figure.

It also looks like a yulli sculpt. I may be wrong there but whoever did the sculpt, it is amazing.

Vito is the character name so it has to be a licensed GODFATHER product, it'd be like making a Generic Brando Superman II figure and selling it. You couldn't call it Jor-El you'd have to call it Father from Another Planet or something like that.

Not necessarily true Mike. At all.

The M Icon Brando WW Proto Fig had a "Johnny" jacket which was later changed as well. Same could be true here. It is a proto pic not production pic.

So it could be a HT figure. I just don't think SSC has ever used HT stands for any of their proto pics, so I'm leaning HT M Icon Proto here.

The Wild One figure comes with a stand that says Marlon Brando 1950s Version

Not Johnny Strabler because the character is licensed.

The Proto pic above says Don Vito Corleone on the stand. To me that clearly signifies that licensing has been obtained, HT wouldn't even show the Predator Billy and Dutch because Fox hasn't signed off on the licensing.

To me this indicates that HT has farmed from SSC or acquired the International rights for the Godfather, maybe even a joint production but its an HT Figure and it Licensed, I'd bet money on it.

Awesome, just checked it out through the sideshow site and its in the 360, will be getting this.

Another Hot Toys/Sideshow partnership, wonder what else they have going? Future of 1/6 is looking great.

Wait so is it official? Also did Sideshow and Hot Toys work together on Frodo? I thought I saw their logo on the box but wasn't sure and no one made a big deal if it was a partnership.

I think they are doing a joint venture with Sideshow, there isn't any rules with lending out sculptors and using Hot Toys parts is there?

Sideshow did partner with Hot Toys to create the Hobbit bodies.

Other than the 360 link provided above I couldn't find it on the SSC site. Link?

Didn't you guys read the first post? The 360 was found on the Sweeney Todd page...

A must have for me. Vito, not Sweeney. :D

Got it! Thanks Bro. AAwesome piece!!!

Looks like HT for sure as I thought, their stand, maybe SSC/HT deal as Mike and others have said. But it is an amazing sculpt. Prolly yulli's.

It's real, it's Hot Toys. They are still working out the details - licensing, approvals, etc.
Please help keep the image from propagating.
