just purely based on your costs for making the poncho (74 USD) - the price for Rainman's Gunman is WELL worth it. We are looking at $250 for the entire outfit. This includes a leather belt with brass bullets, leather boots with metal straps, overcoat, jacket, shirt, pants, two hand sculpted and painted weapons, vest, necktie and hand painted and sculpted pipe. I'd say it's WELL worth it.

These things are expensive to make (unfortunately)...

It's still very expensive, but for what you are getting, the price is correctly marked.

Collector 49 I didn’t think about the difference between USD and Euros.
Make one poncho here in Spain is really expensive. I mean, buy the fabric, pay for the printing (two printings for every poncho, they make me pay twice) buy the materials for the detailing (fringes, etc) .The total cost for one of them took me about 40 Euros, that’s about 54 USD, and publish that offer at eBay takes me about 4, 5 USD more (approximately).

I offered and sent the path that made my girlfriend to everybody who could be interested in making one. But sometimes I pay for a product when I do not have time to make it by myself, or if I do not have skills to make it too.

I don’t know how to sew but I have a deal with a woman that can do this work but for no less than 10 Euros (14USD) for every piece

If you add the 54USD + 5 USD + 14 USD probably you will believe me when I say you that I’m not planning to get rich selling ponchos.

I just win…15 USD and believe me…the sewing takes some hours.

Greyrabbit, you was righ, I say 15 USD, now it’s correct in the auction. I don’t know how much money would be the final cost, but I don’t take any money for the service, just the cost that takes me the Spanish Postal Service for shipping a certificated international mail.
Thanks.

Reinhard, I’m looking for new printing store here in Madrid who could makes me a better price for the printing.

The problem at this moment is: the only places where I find they do this work they sell t-shirts and only put the drawing you ask to them in t-shirts, but when I’m going with the cloth I’m using they tell me they do not make this kind of job.

I found a place where they sell printed t-shirts too but, by bringing them the cloth they can do this work for me, but from the first poncho I ask them to the last one I asked them, they increased the cost (bad people).

My mother sewed the fringes of the poncho I showed in the last pictures but she can’t dedicate time to this work and every side of the poncho I showed has almost 90 fringes, multiply that for two, that takes a lot of hours because the fringes need to be sewn one by one. The mother of a friend works as a dressmaker and she can do this work but when I explained her what I need, she knew at first sight that kind of job takes hours for that reason she ask me no less of the money I told you.

By the way, I was wrong, publishing that on eBay supposed to me 9USD not the 5USD I told. And I refer to these prices in Euros ( I didn’t thought about it), the difference between our coin and yours do not help, I know.

I will send by email the canvas I used, if anybody wants it to try to make a poncho. If you like it, just ask me the canvas, I will send it to you and when you try to do it by your self, them you tell me how is going.

I want to make a easy tutorial in pdf but I really do not have many time to do almost anything.

Thanks.

Litial, I still havent got around to making the poncho through your files but will show results in a week or two. I told you in PM of my method, but for anyone else who wants to use the files

..what I'll do is make two prints on inkjet iron-on transfer paper (for front and back of the poncho), then apply the prints to both sides of fabric. I think it should work quite well but I'll follow up on how it turns out :)

Not sure of what method you have in mind with tutorial, but look forward to any other ideas.

Well I think the tutorial would be related to how I´m trying to sewn the fringes to the fabric. I´m trying two methods, I do not have pictures of one of them yet.
;)

Litial, thanks for all you are doing. I know, this is hard work! it's amazing how much harder it is to do something in 1/6 scale!!

Good to see so many people are investing time and effort to make a cool Blondie figure. :chew

I shipped mine over to Seb (elvis1976) for that extra sebtastic touch. Can't wait! :rock

a custom ended on ebay for 480.00 last night

Yeah I saw that one. Not sure it was worth quite that much, granted the silhouette was perfect, it didn't really hold up in the up close shots. The sculpt was great and it was painted well, but the vest was totally wrong(it looked like a suit vest), and the gun belt and boots were plasticy crap. Also the shirt was kinda weird. It's a shame, with a little more work that figure could have been one of the greats.

I'm just wondering, what options are there to use as the black jeans for Blondie? I haven't found any yet, and think I might have to buy some blue jeans and dye them black.

I came across this to use for my Blondie's shirt, which is available on ebay atm. I like that the collar isnt too big and not too concerned about the lack of stripes ..I think this one is good enough, as long as the sleeves are long enough to fit down the arms for a truetype or a dragon body.

Thats pretty much what I'm planning to do with the jeans. My only concerns are that they're denim-like and they are tight enough. I may have found some on ebay that would work well enough.

As for the shirt, I don't think you have to worry. The sleeves on the actual shirt worn in the movie seemed to be a little bit short for Clint's arms. Keep in mind, he is 6'4".

Thanks Ross, please lmk if those jeans you found end up being the right fit and style for blondie. You have a good point about Clint's height, and I do recall that in some reference pics that his sleeves were slightly rolled up just past the wrists ..makes sense to roll them up to aid his quick-draw I suppose :)

I'm Looking for a really good sculpt of Clint in Good Bad Ugly...Thanks
Likeness is important...

Any good Sculpts...The Blondie sculpt I seen looks best of the rest i seen.

Hello, I think you can contact with Jimmy Messervey, his work is very nice and dedicated. He made some pants for my sideshow and Hot toys blondie figure and their pants really fits ok. I show you a picture.

I think you can find him here with the nickname Hondo.

Hes very kind and a great one making clothes.
I´m sure he can help you.
Thanks

A few pages back someone said Lonnie was not selling the Blondie headsculpt anymore. This is incorrect. I contacted him by email yesterday and ordered this morning.

Below is his response to my query whether he still sells the Blondie sculpt.

Lonnie said:
I do.

It comes in two forms.

1) Standard version is the head only - no hat. This version has fully
sculpted hair to accurately depict him as he appears on screen with no hat
on. $10.00 plus shipping.

2) Combo version is the head and separate hat. This version is the same
basic head and face as the standard version but the hair has been sculpted
to be matted down and contour the head so that it looks screen accurate
when the piece is wearing the hat. $18.00 plus shipping.

Shipping is $5.00 domestic U.S. or $8.00 overseas.

I accept Pay Pal to [email protected].

You should make sure to specify in the comments section of Pay Pal the
exact item you are ordering .

Cheers
Lonnie

Mine is really starting to come together. I've tossed some Newline weathered cowboy boots on a Triad Omega with Steve's Toys' Blondie Rig. I need to find my shirt by Billy (its in a parts box somewhere), and I just won a couple of different pairs of jeans. I've got the head ordered this morning and shipping out to Small Studio's for painting. So all I'm left to get is a poncho and vest............

Hi all,
Rainman has finished a head sculpt of the Gunman C1851.
He said that it will be one of his Gunman series.
I'm really looking forward to the painted version.
I hope you like his work.

Thanks,
