Caught a showing of it today. Not bad. The Rue scene was quite touching.

Read the book it's even more so.
Same with my theater which I was glad to see. The last thing I wanted was a bunch of screaming teen girls ruining the movie.

Grown men can scream and holler during a Star Wars movie but no one can for Hunger Games?
Sure...they can scream and be just as annoying, maybe even more so, as a teenage girl.
I have read it. I meant to imply that I liked how they portrayed it on screen.
Everyone I went with talked about that scene and what the impact Katniss' actions had on those in District 11.
I took my 10 year old GIRL to this. Man, it was nothing! You people that are afraid to take your kid to this are mangina's. Or your kid is weak.
Some of you need to give your kids credit. My kid read the books, and i warned her cause of this thread it might be a little old for her. PFFT! Some of you i had an inkling about now i know. (and some of you don't even have a kid)
Just remember not all kids are soft and nurtured till they're 13.
Decent flick BTW!
It's the families that struck me as odd. I get the kids. But families? They don't go to this kinda thing. It was funny to me.
