Opinion police was on full prowl today.

No no no, you just want to make things bigger than it already is. I never said you suck for hating it or anything like that. I jumped on the the guy becuase he said the people who would like this movie would be fifteen years old which isn't stating an opnion at all. You know.

movie sucked, the first half was boring as hell, the second half does pick up once the actual game started, but there is no twist and showed very little human emotion conflicts in those situations, all the characters are flat & linear. It was so watered down, almost close to a disney movie. I guess if you are a twilight-obsessing little girl, might find it interesting.

ok fix it for you ironwiz, will you be my friend now?

Ummmm it's just a damn movie which had very similarities. IMO hunger games had inspiration from BR. Let's not take it personally guys :peace

Yes it did, but what I am pointing out is that Battle Royale had inspiration from Lord of the Flies and The most dangerous game. If anything Katniss Everdeen from Hunger Games reminds me of a young female Spartacus.

Main girl and family is from around where I live. Seen her walking about a few times here and there.

I think I'm going to wait for this on bluray. I'm kinda sick of the hype already. It was bad enough before the movie, but it hasn't stopped since the movie started. I can't even go on some webpages without something about it showing up on the page or popping up at me where I have to click it off.

It was a pretty good movie, I liked it. Only thing about the movie that I didn't like was the camera work--during almost every death the camera is shaking around like crazy, so you can't see anything.

Like 12 people die when the game starts and you can't tell what's happening at all, and several others just die off camera. I'm sure it's to maintain the PG-13 rating, but it's so so annoying.

Other thing was all the teenage girls at the theater, when the male main characters first showed up they all screamed, at many other times as well. It was extremely annoying.

You won't be missing much. It was pretty good, I like it, but it's not worth all the hype it's getting. People are acting like it's the greatest thing ever. It's not. Jennifer lawrence made the film.

I like this movie... so much better than teen vampires and werewolves wannabes

Too bad the theater was full of those types last night.

actually, this movie story reminds me of Battle Royale + The Lottery (short film)

It reminded me of The Running Man.

Saw it last night and really liked it. Maybe it's just me, but the way the movie started out it felt like a low budget movie. Hmm...everything else was great IMO. The shaky cam was annoying after the game started, but I realize it was probably to hide the gore/kills to maintain the PG13 rating.

I wish they would've shown how poor and desperate the people from the districts were. Especially with Katniss' storyline.

Nah go see it in the theater. This isn't the greater film ver but it is very good and deserving of the praise it's getting. For me getting into the series recently reading the books it mached most of what I wanted out of the movie. Like I said its worth a trip the theater.

I saw it today in cinema. I thought it was a great movie. Better than I expected.

Weekend estimates say 155 million for the hunger games. Which would be third best opening weekend in the us ever.

Thought it was a decent adaption. Didn't have much of a punch though. THey included a lot from the books but it kinda drug on too long, or at least felt like it.
