I listened to the podcast again and it says the coupon is not valid for pre orders. Can only be used once and expires after the 14th.

Hey noel, it says not valid for "existing" pre-orders. Coupons can be used for "new" pre-orders".

I made myself wait 30 min. past the ordering time so I would not get bogged down and it worked. It was super fast. I also knew it would be a high exclusive edition size or I would not have attempted that. All in all a pleasant ordering experience. He looks stunning.

Looks like Strider is not as popular as the previous 12" figures... Any one dares to make a guess on when the Exclusive will be sold out? Where 70 minutes on the way now.

Hmm, gonna pass. He's cool and all, with all those accesories. A bit like Where's Wally, where he loses them on each page and you have to find them...

But it does look very much doll like, and I'm not the sort of collector to put those kind of figures in cabinets. But, as I say, it looks good and you just KNOW I'll be desperate to buy the exclusive Mouth of Sauron with exclusive mithril vest!

i was able to get him right when he came online. I was surprised, since I had so many issues with the SW ones. I was going to hold off on these, until I saw all the stuff that came with Aragorn and I was sold. Very nice figure.

I don't think we'll see the same feeding frenzy with the 1/6 LOTR stuff that we have with Star Wars so far. Star Wars fans can be a super fanatical bunch.

Here's a sign--they actually had the chance to post the link to the exclusive preorder on the home page. With the others, the first thing up when news returned was a message saying that the exclusive was gone but the regular was now available. Things have calmed down enough for the home page to return, and they still have the exclusive available for sale. But how much longer?

* Managed to get my pre-order in quite early, then cancelled when I heard about the coupon.

* Didn't know the code, so ordered again without it.

* Thought I might as well listen to the podcast for fun and get the code. Tried my luck by cancelling for a second time and ordering again using the correct code. Too easy, the huge edition size helped with that, no doubt.
I have a feeling it might be available for a couple of days...

Did the same as ResinDog. Ordered, heard about the coupon, cancelled, reordered with the coupon.

Got my $5 off. And the order numbers were spaced about 1200 places apart, so that's probably how many Aragorns were sold in the 40 minutes it took me to do all that.

He'll sell out soon. But considering how much we moaned about the headsculpt, I'm not too surprised the reaction isn't wildly ecstatic.

Is he worth the price increase from the SW figures? Well, with that costume and all those accessories, I say rock on.

Buzzie, just right-click on the podcast .mp3 and download it. The coupon is in the last minute of the clip. You have plenty of time -- and we all know Sideshow wouldn't appreciate it if we posted the coupon here.
