I found this:

SIDESHOW COLLECTIBLES
733 Lakefield Rd., Unit B
Westlake Village, CA 91361
(805) 418-1940
[Sideshowcollectibles.com]

Thanks so much for providing the info!:D

Congrats to everyone else who got one, sorry to those who didn't, hope you have better luck next time out.

I wonder who will be the first figure to not sell out really quickly.

1750 sold in 67 mins, not too bad.

Yup, even more impressive than Lurtz last week.

At sideshow's home page:

News Temporarily Suspended
Due to our current pre-ordering period, our news system has been temporarily suspended. News posting will resume shortly. Thank you for your patience.

Guess the servers really are taking a beating. Diverting power to streamlined pre-order LOL

It actually said this last week as well with Lurtz. I went to the main SS page to look at it for just a second. So they have to basically shut the site down in order to get this done. That's what happens though with us nutty collectors.

It will be interesting to see how Aragorn orders go.

Should be pretty crazy. Not sure if it will be as crazy as this because so many dislike the look of the Aragorn piece though.

wow, guess i got one of the last ones -- 2:05 was when i got my confirm e-mail -- i guess the streamlined thing was better, but i think it took me about the same time to order anakin & the gnashing of teeth while waiting for the pages to load was familiar. . . read that someone preordered by phone in 30 minutes. . . maybe that's the way to go? that, or every star wars figure release will be like this -- it seemed from the pf lurtz thread that everyone was able to get in and out pretty quick.

I don't think the PF Lurtz is really a good measuring stick for performance, that's a high end, uber-expensive item that appeals to a lot less people.

A quick $87,500 for Sideshow! As the line grows in popularity and more and more people get on board, this stressful ordering will only get much worse. Remember, nobody has actually seen a final figure in person yet. Imagine after something like Comic Con, for example, when people start to see the final figures on display together. Sideshow basically got a license to print their own money. We will be fighting tooth and nail--it won't be long before an hour of refreshing the screen gets you absolutely nothing at all. At least with the first three, most of us who sat by the computer and tried got a hold of an exclusive. That won't be true as the line continues.

Alice,
When the stock gets to 100, a bar is shown at the order page. It drops and drops til there is nothing left.
It's pretty cool having a visual idea of the numbers left.#

Regarding numbers, lets not forget the impact promotion on sites like starwars.com (which is visited by millions!) will have on the star wars figures. I can't think any other line in Sideshows portfolio that will have the same level of advertisement, even LOTR (as immensely popular as it is) can't compete when it comes to publicity.

Second quarter release... That's three so far of the 8-10 figures expected in the first year. Seems like we ought to expect a figure a month for the rest of 2006.

I forsee two threads. One being for those who did not get their Obi exlcusive order placed. The second, a "I got my Aragorn Exclusive thread 29 page thread" in the near future. :banana

Oh and I forsee these 12 inch figures shipping on time.

What I noticed with the Lurtz preorder is that they had temporarily shut off the news about 10 mins before the pre-sale and with Obi the news was still on the site with about 2 mins before the presale. Maybe someone oops and forgot to disable it causing more headaches for us.

Got my Obi Wan. :joy

Was concerned there for a while, with the site locked up tight. :banghead

JS :)
