Re: Boy! That was easy! (Stealth Iron Man Related...)

I think the problem with it saying it was not available may be due to the browser. I was using firefox and it gave me the not yet available. Internet explorer worked just fine however.

Re: stealth Ironman flipper cancellation thread

Virtual????

Well, since I can't see him in person, he'll have to settle for an email from Snags Greeting Corp:

"Greetings! You have just received a Virtual Punch-In-The-Neck! Please click on the link below to receive your beatdown." And then you click on the link and a big boxing glove appears and delivers the blow.

The Virtual Punch-In-The-Neck was devised at SDCC while heavy drinking was going on (as if you couldn't tell).

Re: stealth Ironman flipper cancellation thread

That clown selling the IM on ebay had his mother bid on it so it would look like there was legitimate interest in it...

Safari, IE, Firefox.... had them all. :)

But that saved me a lot of bucks.

Re: Stealth Iron Man SOLD OUT!

The SSE Ardeth Bey bust was the quickest sell out at just around 1 minute or so... but of course, there were only 15 of them!

The SSE Dracula bust (ES 35), and the two Spider-man PF Exclusives (ES 75 each) each took a few minutes to sell out; something like 3 to 5 minutes if I remember correctly.

The Grey Hulk vs Spider-man (ES 50) took almost an hour to sell out because no one knew it was going to be listed, and the link was only on the green exclusive product page, not in the newsletter or through a PPO.

Yeah. Today's PPO was smooth-as-silk for most of us. There is ALWAYS going to be software or server related issues for some people when this many folks are trying to access a page at the same time.

And, Domer, thank God I don't work for you either. I spent half my day ordering this thing. :lol

Re: stealth Ironman flipper cancellation thread

Yeah. You'd definitely be tempting the Karma gods on that one.

I am not a fool Irish. As much as I like to maximize the amount I make on some of these things, the potential headaches with preselling just aren't worth it.

Re: Stealth Iron Man SOLD OUT!

The Grey Hulk VS diorama took a while to sell out because not very many people were expecting it--other than a cryptic hint in the newsletter that alerted a few of us, it was a surprise. I seem to recall it lasting 30-45 minutes.

EDIT: Lonnie beat me to it!

Re: 1250 Stealth IM, hardly an Exclusive...

Well... it'll be very interesting to see how many of those SDCC order stick. If they sold around 950 there... you know some of those are getting canceled now that edition size has been announced (and people have credit cards fail, or just realize they don't have the $$$.) I don't see mass cancellations (as some of you have pointed out already) - especially because this piece looks cool and lights up.... but I'd say the people on the waitlist in the first two minutes (maybe the first 50 people) have a great shot at conversion.

I mentioned Ardeth and the Spidermans in the other thread. I even quoted Dusty in doing so. I guess I was ignored.:lol This thing didn't even sell out in under 5 minutes. Someone told me they got their order in at 8 minutes after.

Re: 1250 Stealth IM, hardly an Exclusive...

I can see perhaps a 10% cancellation rate, which means the first 125 Wait Listers should be fine. Any more than that would be suprising to me. (Then of course you have the usual last-minute conversions due to credit card declines, etc).

Cant agree. If you spend enough € (sorry, but with $ the number would be too big) that would be no problem. But as it sells out quick or slow, why should ss care?

You could take a day off for ordering it. We would meet saturday to work then.

Thinking about it they probably sold 750 at the con, set aside 250 for the international market and 250 for the ppo today.

Never even thought of that. But it still doesn't matter. If the next guy lists at $500... then the early market has been set.

I probably won't cancel. As long as this thing is going for retail on ebay and I can break even I won't cancel. These things are too cool to see in person to cancel.
