Re: stealth Ironman flipper cancellation thread

Someone just bid $500 on that first ebay auction. Like I said... there is no shortage of fools in the world.

Re: MWHAHAHA IRON MAN ON EBAY ALREADY !!!!

Yeah, very pathetic. We all find things pathetic about other people, I was just expressing an opinion.

Re: MWHAHAHA IRON MAN ON EBAY ALREADY !!!!

I still find it just as pathetic that people get so worked up over things like this. You should be pissed at the buyer if there is one, for being a fool, not the seller.

Very true, capatlism rocks.

If someone else missed out on getting one then that's unfortunate, but everyone had the same chance so it was fair, can't do anything about it so why worry?

I love how it says 17:03:16, when over there it was 10:03:16 and here in FL it was 13:03:16....... so were did the 5oclock come from!!

I've mentioned this before... the "store" servers are hosted in the UK somewhere; that is why in past PPO's, the complaints about which side of the country, or even being in Europe, and being able to get through, are really not that valid as arguments...

Re: stealth Ironman flipper cancellation thread

There is a sucker born every minute! People were bidding $250+ for the Gentle Giant Mace Windu maquette and they were still available on StarWarsShop for $80 + $15 for a Hyperspace membership.

Or the people who were buying $250 Blackhole Stormtrooper maquettes on Ebay when all they had to do was pay $130 and get it direct from GG ($80 + $50 for a PG membership)...

Hey now. They do a great job (even if they don't always respond to PMs) :lol

Re: Stealth Iron Man SOLD OUT!

Has everybody forgot about the PF Grey Hulk PPO last year?? 179 went in under two (2) minutes. I don't know if that was the fastest sell out ever, (the Grey hulk VS diorama -ES 50 - might be a strong contender also), but it sure was faster than the 7 or 8 minutes it took for the Stealth IM to sell out. Also there where never 1250 Stealth IM's sold today: considering that SSC started selling the Stealth IM during the SDCC, it took at least 2 weeks for it to sell out. :lol Besides... what does it really matter?

Re: stealth Ironman flipper cancellation thread

I gotta say... people uninformed and/or dumb enough to overpay like that on ebay... just might deserve to overpay. Seriously, if you are such an unwise person to not do your homework on this stuff... then there's a small part of me that says you get what you deserve.

Re: 1250 Stealth IM, hardly an Exclusive...

I am shocked that they made so many--I was expecting a lot, but not 1250. I honestly wouldn't have guessed that an exclusive would have an edition size almost twice as large as the regular version it is meant to be the variant of. Funny to think that the regular version is now the rare piece, lol.

But I am also shocked that with such a large ES it sold out so fast. I don't think that there were that many left for sale today after SDCC and international orders. Obviously, even with what I consider to be a huge ES, there still weren't enough to go around. It is interesting to think about how this would have been different if it had not been presold at SDCC.

Jesus. As tempting as it is to presell this stuff, I just never can bring myself to do it. It is like setting myself up for receiving a damaged item.

I will be completely honest. I bought this with every intentions of flipping. I don't know if I can do that now. After looking at the pics this thing is bad A$$!
I made the horrible mistake of selling my red/gold exclusive. It wasn't a true "flip", since I bought it to keep, and had it on display for several months, but my wife -- and the prices it was fetching on eBay -- got the better of me.

I WON'T MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN.

Yes. That was really a great job. A lot of people werent able to order because the page took 7 minutes to show "Sold Out".

But that fits into the whole picture. The people who are responsible for keeping the systems open even under high demand should be happy to have a job. They would get send into the hills if they would work for me.

:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

And here's the thing... now that someone's already paid $500 and upwards... the early price has been set. I've said this a million times... the first few people who list something on ebay have TREMENDOUS power over the market. If they all list this around $500 - that's where it'll initially settle in and move from there. If they had BINs for $600 - and they all got bought, it'd be $600. Those first few listings are critical!

Yeah, I bet the es would have been 500 or less.

Yeah. You'd definitely be tempting the Karma gods on that one.
