Yeah, what everybody else said.
This just isn't for me.
This just isn't for me.
I think that's more of a Medicom thing than a 12 inch figure thing.FlyAndFight said:$150.00 for a 12" doll is not a priority with me. If the trend of higher pricing on 12" figures continues, I've got other hobbies that would benefit from the shift in funds.
But $180 is too much for three Rebel figures?nash said:$150 is alot for a 12" figure but $1500 isnt alot for a LOTR Balrog statue? Come on now let's get realistic here.
im sorry but $150 is chump change when you compare it to so many other things in the collectible world.

I guess it's all in the eye of the collector.![]()
galactiboy said:$150 is a lot for a new 1/6 figure that isn't that limited. My most expensive figure, 1/6 Jack Torrance from the Shining (thanks Bonehead15) cost more... but only 80 were made. Who knows how many of these Clone Troopers were made? I think for the Medi quality $100 would have been a much more reasonable price... but still a pass for me.
galactiboy said:Trust me Nash... I have a lot of Japanese import figures... probably around 200 and I've been to Japan.I'm well aware of what they cost. However, when you compare Medicom releases to other companies figures (Sideshow, Hot Toys, Takara, DiD) they always come out a bit on the high side. And a basic clone at $150 is a prime example.
Now if they were the sole owner of 1/6 SW rights it might be different. But, Sideshow will also make a Clone and when they do it'll be at least $60 cheaper.
I hear where you're coming from, but you did make price an issue. You said $180 for a bunch of nobodies was too much money. I'm just saying if you don't want people to complain about you spending $150 on one figure you like, why say something about the price for another figure just because you don't like it?nash said:Youre right it is in the eye of the collector. i just find it strange that most of this thread is about the price being too expensive. Yet people have no qualms about dropping over a grand on a statue which is only a few more inches in height!
My complaint of the rebel troopers isnt the price, the price is not a problem. rather, its the fact that none of the 3 do anything for me, they are meaningless in my eyes.
