The prices for the hobby in general are getting ridiculous. I'm definitely getting more selective on what I buy. I'm letting some pieces go that I would have bought if the price was more reasonable and waiting to preorder the pieces I really want until I see in-hand pics.

It only recently just hit me that I could only afford ONE hobby at a time, and when I was recently getting back into books/music/videogame collecting, and I noticed how much I can't afford even the cheap *** stuff because of a recent figure pruchase or something.

Paint job is amazing though.

$220 for a 1/6 trashcan.

I rather have the R2-D2 USB car charger for your phone. Makes sounds and everything when you start your car.

I read a lot of people that liked it, but a gross majority of SSC's 1/6 are so cheapily made that they don't justify the prices at all.

I considered Wolverine even though I hate both sculpts, but the in hand shots didn't impress me at all, plus there was quite a few with typical **** QC control with broken claws and paint defects.

I hope Ash is good... but for $240? Ehh.

$250 for any SSC figure is about $75 too much. The quality just isn't there to justify higher than HT prices. I haven't been impressed with in-hand pics of Wolverine, Punisher, or Beetlejuice (which is an absolute train wreck) enough to spend $250 ****ing dollars on them. The last SSC figure I bought was TOD Indy, which ended up being a decent figure but still not worth the price tag.

$250 for any SSC figure is about $75 too much. The quality just isn't there to justify higher than HT prices. I haven't been impressed with in-hand pics of Wolverine, Punisher, or Beetlejuice (which is an absolute train wreck) enough to spend $250 ****ing dollars on them. The last SSC figure I bought was TOD Indy, which ended up being a decent figure but still not worth the price tag.

I kinda want to get that Indy since I'm a huge TOD fan. I hate the idea of not getting the EX... but it isn't like I'd display the stones anyway

Yeah i think they shoot themselves in the foot by cranking the prices higher... i'm guessing people would buy more if they were cheaper instead of being so selective with what they buy. get more $ on quantity... vs. getting greedy trying to squeeze every penny they can.

On regular 1/6 scale figures I absolutely agree. What's crazy is that the SSC R2 is a great deal now compared to HT R2.. It has lights, compartments that open, and an absolute **** ton of accessories for $70 less.

yup exactly... and you can always grab him on a coupon or special too. like i said i paid around $110 if i remember correctly. very good price.

You only really get them by who you know, so I spoke to my one cousin who's got a lot of pull since he's been in the city since the 80s. We'd be on the same schedule and it would be the only way we could start a family.

Thanks. I take off a Monday every three weeks since it's the only time she has the weekend off. I hardly spend time with her during the week. With this, I won't have to anymore and we'd have even more time.

yup i'm sorta the same. im usually home by 5, lucky if she's home by 8 or 9... then its off to bed shortly after. she's tue-sat and i'm mon-fri so only have a sunday to do anything. lame.

Yeah it's rough only getting one day a week together. Her schedule is never quite the same through the week too and has to work late and we may get an hour or so together.

I used to get home and stay up until she got up for work, hang out while she got ready, then go to bed when she left. By the time she got back from work I was already gone. Made us appreciate the time we have together, but also made each of us ok with the other having time to themselves when we got on a "normal" schedule since we were both used to having alone time.
