In "news I should give a **** about but WB destroyed all the ****s I give with BvS and SS", WB is apparently going to make a Nightwing movie. My guess is that he'll take the place of Batman after Affleck leaves the franchise when Justice League gets **** reviews. Yeah, yeah, I know Matt Reeves signed on to direct/produce the Batman solo film with Affleck. Let's file that under "I'll believe it when the ****ing thing gets released."

I feel like I'm on my own island seeing how I've seen zero of ANY of the MCU :lol

Not that I have anything against it really or the characters, but outside of X-Men and Spider-Man I never really got into Marvel. Although I find RDJ a bit insufferable and I'm sick of ScarJo.

They're all fine entertainment. While I don't love any of them, I've never had any real problems with them either. I can always watch them and at least know that I'll have a good time. The best would be the Cap Ap movies, I thought they were so engaging and well executed, which is saying something since I've never been a Cap Ap fan! :lol

My thing is, why should I care about Nightwing when I haven't been introduced to Robin, yet? I mean, we might get an introduction/backstory in the solo Batman film, but that hardly seems like enough. The story of **** Grayson, his time as Robin, and then departure to become Nightwing could be awesome, but it should be over the course of a few movies. It's just like how the death of Superman could have been awesome if the character actually had a few movies under his belt where he'd been given the chance to make an impact on people's lives, but nope. It's just WB continuing to put the cart before the horse when it comes to this universe. They have no interest in telling good stories. It's all about catching up to Marvel, and getting a slice of that shared universe pie.

I can't believe they're charging that much. ****ing crazy.

They're worth watching for entertainment value. The Captain America movies are fantastic. The first Iron Man is awesome. Avengers was amazing just because Marvel pulled it off. Even the ok ones have a couple great moments that make the viewing worth it. I've always preferred DC over Marvel in general, but I have no problem saying Marvel has completely destroyed DC in the last ten years with their films. Marvel made a better ****ing Ant-Man film than a film with the first live action team up of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.

I miss that show. :lol

You and me both. I watch it every year, and I get pissed all over again that it got cancelled.

I guess I'll give it another rewatch this March. I always do a Terminator 1/2/SCC binge once a year. :lol

One thing I still didn't get is the Kaliba group. It seems they were working with Cyberdyne, the Greys and Skynet. There's one big chain of command that starts from Skynet, but I'd love to learn more on how that chain operates. I love the role reversal that humans were the bad guys (Kaliba agents trying to kill Cameron and Derek). I'd love to try and comprehend more in my next viewing.

As a DC fan for life, I sadly concur and admit- Marvel movies > DC movies. People say competition brings out the best in everyone, but this isn't even a competition anymore. It's like making fun of a disabled child- that's how pathetic DC looks in comparison to Marvel.

The last great DC movie was the Dark Knight. This was almost 10 years ago.

I thought the Kaliba group was involved with the future Skynet in that future Skynet sent back agents to gather support and resources to ensure it would be built by Daniel Dyson--just like Weaver went back in time to create John Henry. I don't know if there was a belief system in place for the Greys that protected Skynet that applied to the future, or if they were just doing it because of the money/power to be gained by having such a powerful computer system. Whichever it is, I love that humans were trying to protect the "bad" machines by killing the good guys. It gave a nice twist to the usual "Connors always being hunted by metal" storyline. I'll try to pay more attention this viewing to see what I'm missing.

****, now I'm wondering if Skynet picked that point in the past not only because it needed Dyson, but because it also needed to hack John Henry--which would be crazy that Weaver was unintentionally helping create Skynet by creating her anti-Skynet that she needed to help John destroy future Skynet. :lol

For the Greys, they were promised "paradise" by being sent back to a war-free era of their choosing for helping Skynet. If humans can "recruit" machines on their side, make sense for Skynet to do the same.

Skynet definitely wanted to ensure it's own existence by employing/protecting Dyson and Cyberdyne, and overtime learned about Zeira Corp and attempted to eliminate them as well. I'm just not sure if the Kaiba group was created/sent back by Skynet or is it just shadowy group employed by Danny/Cyberdyne. I could never figure that out. :lol

From where I stand, if a foot soldier like the Uncle Bob T-800 could develop some kind of conscience by the end of T2, then it's entirely possible that the machines, or at least Skynet, is somewhat of a sentient entity. You can't make more Terminator sequels without addressing or at least acknowledging that and that's where TSCC nailed it. You have not only the Resistance and Skynet, but also the "third faction" and the Greys to add in all the complexity.

I broke down and bought a Batman Beyond Maquette. Found a good deal for it on eBay and couldn't help myself. I used to own all the WB maquettes but sold them years ago for an insane profit when I needed money. Now the prices for most are near retail so I may pick them up again. :slap

I saw him when he was in town filming Twister. Didn't get to talk to him but heard a lot of good stories from people here who did about how nice he was.
