Edit: I suppose that was mean. I don't think they'll get made, but I wouldn't have a problem with them if HT was getting other figures out first. I don't have a Reeve Clark Kent, black robe Jor-El, Zod, BR Catwoman, heat vision Cavill Superman, Kyle Reese, T-800 endoskeleton, etc., etc. but sure...Valerian figures should get priority.

I'm excited to get it. I thought the days of getting one for under $300 were gone so I was shocked when I saw that price.

Is it a new figure? $272 is really cheap. The figure hasn't been under $250 for years now, so I wouldn't worry about it especially since it's really that good of a figure.

Also, use caution when removing the figure for the first time since there might be loose studs. Shake the figure a bit and if any falls just keep them in a baggie in case you wanna reglue them, another thing to note that it's more than likely you'll get a brittle neck adapter, and that's no big deal at all.

I'm considering picking one up myself eventually. The police station shootout is my favourite look for the T800 out of all the films, but there's just something off about that MMS238 figure. I don't think I want more than one in my collection, so it'll be down to Tech Noir or MMS238 when I have the cash. Still need to pick up the BD Robocop/Murphy at some point as well. After knocking off my 80's wishlist I'll be pretty much done with Hot Toys, I seem to have a lot more fun nowadays with weird overengineered boutique stuff from Japan and Hong Kong.

I think I mentioned this to you in a PM but shipping prices have gone crazy across the board in Japan. SAL/RSAL is the only option that's still at a low price - EMS, FedEx, DHL, etc all pretty much doubled overnight. Still, if anyone else is looking for old/rare figures at sensible prices I'll gladly search for you.

If you had the choice between the Tech Noir and the Police Shootout- get the Tech Noir all the way, it's not perfect- but it's the vastly superior figure. The Police Shootout figure suffers from a skinny body, pencil neck, overly rounded heads and a overdone BD paintwork, it won't look good without a repaint and mods.

They always seem to find a way to ruin a design. This would a great Neal Adams-esque Batman if they hadn't put pointless Jim Lee lines all over the suit.
