I don't count conventions as vacations since they're usually stressful. I need to take one where we don't ****ing do anything.
I'd love to go to SDCC... but dealing with the people there... it's like having a nice bowl of ice cream with one tablespoon of dog **** in it.
One of these years I'm making the trip to NYCC.

I'm thinking about going to NYCC instead next year. We'll see what happens.
It's got to be at least a little less chaotic. They do get some good names there. I think the one year they had a Aliens panel or something since Paxton was there.

I went for 2 years straight, and yeah, people are unbearable. Would get buzzed in the hotel and make my way down. **** gets expensive though, so budgeting is a must. If you enjoy night life, it gets crowded at bars, clubs etc, but that badge will get you discounts everywhere.
My gf told me I could go on my own next year if I wanted to, since I've been a good dad and **** like that. bah. I personally believe no kids under 12 should ever be allowed in such events tbh, they don't even give a **** about being there!
Guys, we should totally plan it for next year, I'm telling you.
Eh will see. I doubt I'd really go anywhere but the con. There is a Japanese book store I've been meaning to go to for quite some time that's on the south end of the city.
