Evening fellas.

Zod, you'll really appreciate the 80s nostalgia on Stranger Things.

Hit up Hastings today. 40% off comics. Everything else pretty much 20% off. Still need to do bigger discounts to move everything.

I keep getting emails from Hastings about "big sales" and in the fine print it always says "up to 40% off". Every time I go in there it's the same thing you saw--one thing is 40% off, everything I'm interested in is 20% off. I think all the stores have to be closed by the end of October so I'm sure they're waiting until the last minute to put big price drops on everything.

Picked these up at local hobby lobby for $10 each! Had Superman and other batman frames too. Cap was only marvel. Wood frame and actual glass on these. Pretty sweet deal considering the materials and art.

G'evening, everyone.

Nice art pieces, Shawpaw, congrats!

Got out of the theater only to find out the new of Kenny Baker's passing. My friends and I were bummed so we went and had a few beers in his honor.

Saw Suicide Squad...

Felt very rushed right from the very beginning. Got tired of hearing David Ayer's iPod the whole film. Good songs, but incredibly forced. Diablo was the only one I liked on the squad since he had the most depth of all of them. I thought Enchantress was cool but the final battle was whatever with that poorly constructed slo mo scene. I'd buy a HT of her.

Smith was Smith as mentioned by Zod. Harley was eh. Didn't hate her, didn't like her. Her accent was inconsistent and was trying to emulate Arleen Sorkin which is a plus I guess. Leto... well they need to stop trying to fix Joker when he was never broken. I'd really like to know why they keep trying to make him different than what were all accustomed to for decades now. Sure there's been one off deviations, but I'm talking about the core Joker akin to Hamill's. I think he could of been great if they didn't portray it this way. Katana could of been cool, but was stuck being a third tier background character. Croc was okay, and I didn't realize it was Adebisi from Oz :lol

I watched it with my fiance since she was so excited to see it, but shes hates herself that she didn't like it.

Yeah man. It's really sad. Feels like a piece of my past has died in a weird way. Death sucks

Hearing about his death today was sad. I've been able to see quite a few of the original Star Wars cast at conventions, but he's one I never got a chance to meet. I always get a personalized autographed picture from them so that'll be a hole in my collection I'll never fill.

I've felt like your fiancé with SS and BvS. I'm almost upset with myself that I haven't left the theater with a smile on my face after watching them because I feel like I should have come out loving them but didn't. I honestly don't feel like I'm that hard to please either. I just want the characters to be represented well and to be pulled into the story behind them. There have been a few moments in both films that I enjoyed but overall I've left them with a huge feeling of disappointment.
