So $235 is the now normal price for bare-bones figures with no accessories? Can’t believe they are charging you that much for the flash! Thank God I’m not a fan of any of the figures from this line outside Batman.

Head sculpt aside, I have to say after looking at the pics on their site I'm astonished at how poor the figure is. The paintwork on the armoured suit, especially those cables and the weathering, looks awful - worse than the old Alien spacesuits. I'm also astonished at how unrefined the suit is, I would have at least expected HT to use actual wire for the cabling. The whole thing looks like a glorified Play Arts Kai figure, honestly.

You hit the nail on the head with play arts figure! That is exactly what that thing looks like! For $235, I expected a hell of a lot more to be honest.

I hate PlayArts figures. They were the coolest thing back in 2010, back when they had the perfect balance between aesthetics and price. Nowadays their not only 7 times more expensive, but the hyper stylized look comes off as off putting for the price. But that's just me.

The Peace Walker figures were the best thing to come out of PAK. I sometimes regret selling mine.

I recently got back into Gunpla and finished my first kit earlier in the week and I'm about a 1/3 done another kit.

Figure, it's from the Hajime Katoki premium subline of Robot Damashii. They've been steadily releasing figures from the Gundam Sentinel project he did with Model Graphix magazine back in the day. Been thinking of picking up some models myself, wouldn't mind trying one of the Real Grade kits.

I've been toying with the idea to get the hi-resolution Wing Gundam Zero Custom. Although I saw in a review the parts fall off very easily, but it comes with the inner frame already assembled.

Yeah. 1/144 seems to be very popular in Japan for nostalgia reasons, I think it's the scale the very first Gundam kits came in.
