I agree with a lot of what you said. My biggest gripe is the online saving nonsense. I still don’t completely understand the whole reasoning behind it. But graphically it is beautiful And the physics seem pretty good to me. So far I really am enjoying blasting through it. I’ve been focusing on the training exercises and the goals. I think my drivers experience is up to level 16 or 17 so far And about $1 million and added about 12 cars to my garage for free so not too bad For less than a week!
The reasoning behind always online saving was that the game is officially recognized by the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile, thanks Google!) as a means to create real driving permits and breed real race car drivers, so their regulations amount to, of many things, the elimination of any possibility of people cheating. It's all fascinating and serious stuff, but at the end of the day I just want to play a damn game.
Have you raced online? I hear that players being a jerks bumping into other cars would get perma-banned. There's also and etiquette video on how to drive like a gentleman. Jeez, it's just a game, not real life. Lighten up!
