The way this DC film universe is, I'm sure they're going to throw him in a ****** suit. I just wish they'd restrain themselves and recognize that it was a bad idea in the first place and they can spend their money elsewhere.

they're having an identity crisis so nothing shocks me anymore with DCeu. I expect Lois to replace superman lol

I do too--as long as they don't throw him in the stupid bunny suit like in the comics.

Oy vey...

I'm actually really enjoying Rebirth, especially the Superman comics. It's nice having the original Supes back! :rock

I am too. I love that they brought Superman back, and Supergirl will be back to normal as well. Hopefully the powers passed on from 52 Superman will wear off and Lana will get back to normal. I do miss the Superman/Wonder Woman relationship though. It was one of my favorite storylines from New 52.

Doug Mahnke's art showing the death and return of Superman was a real highlight.

Yeah, I was wondering how they would handle the Wonder Woman/Superman relationship. But I am enjoying the entire father/son relationship between Kal and Jonathan. Now if they could just get the movie version right.......

There were a couple of his pages from that issue for sale that I wanted to buy, but someone beat me to my top 1 and 2 choices. Superman's storyline is probably my favorite so far from Rebirth. Reading any of the Superman comics just feels like the character is finally back home and my inner nerd feels peace--except for Lex wearing the S Shield. That **** has to go.

Okay you gotta tell me where to buy Doug's art. I've been looking everywhere. Is he con only or does he have a site?

I'll see if I can find it.

God I've had a ****** day. Haven't been going to bed early enough, and been making mistakes most of the day because of it :lol

I feel like my whole week has been ******--not sleeping, back hurts, and work has been aggravating. I may have to take a day off soon and recharge.

Yup. It's from his training for the film.

That's actually a misconception. They asked him about it, and he said that one of his big regrets about Oz was how doughy this hardened criminal was, and he'd struggled on and off with weight, or something like that for a few years, and then, he said, when he turned 60, he just decided to become a gym rat. Dude was pretty ripped in Whiplash, too.

I actually liked that he wasn't a ripped inmate. I think it made him scarier because he relied on his overall performance to convey intimidation instead of his physicality.
