This needed to happen - so glad it's finally confirmed to be in the works. Brad Bird back makes it even better. :yess:

God, I honestly didn't think this was going to happen. This is one of Pixar's most underutilized properties ever imo.

Love the original, hope this is like Toy Story and they end up with an awesome trilogy.

Meh. First one was OK. Pixar needs to lay off the sequels/prequels. Not even getting an Oscar nom this year should have clued them into that. If they want to make sequels to their works, fine, but create a new studio/sub-studio to do that. Let them focus on original ideas. Disney's animation studio is kicking their butt right now. How many Pixar films were still in theaters the same day you could buy the film on VHS/DVD/Blu Ray?

Yeah, John Lasetter making them rework the story repeatedly until it was perfect really paid off on Frozen, too bad Pixar couldn't find someone like Lasetter to run their shop. :lol

He and the other heads of Disney Animation are obviously much more savvy these days then those folks running Pixar. :lol

I'm super excited for an Incredibles 2 and the other good news for me is 'Finding Dory', the follow up to Nemo (I loved that flick). Sadly, the Cars franchise does ZIPPO for me (though my little nephews think its the best thing since sliced bread).

My only worry is these 'potential' release dates. Can you imagine knowing Incredibles 2 is in the pipeline, but eventually find out it's slated for 2020? The perpetual kid in me almost doesn't want to hear these things. When I'm in my 80s I'll have to just stop reading news on upcoming movie releases, cuz so help me if I anticipate a movie I'll probably be dead for. Might stop my ticker right then and there! :lol

:lol
That is such a morbid thought.

I love the Incredibles. I've probably seen it more than any other Pixar movie to the point that I grew sick of it. Haven't seen it in years. I know what I'm watching this weekend, though!
