HAHA! too true. And Darren, I'll pay WHATEVER it costs to get my Indy's PERFECT!

Seriously though, SS better step up their QA and QC for the Indy license. I mean SW collectors are used to Hasblow™, so the SS figs are a dream come true (although Medicom is starting to sucker punch SS!)

Indy collectors are going to DEMAND perfection (not that SW fans don't...I collect that line too, so let's not start a war in this thread OK! :lol )

All I'm saying is that the detail on the outfits better be at least on par with the LOTR 1/6 figs in terms of the tiny simulated leather belts, clasps and buckles...but with WAY better paint apps...I mean WAAAAAAY better! And Indy's fedora MUST be made of material...NOT plastic...and NOT floppy felt (like the Asian 'Relic Hunter' Indy...)

I'm still REALLY excited about this announcement. Don't screw it up SS. Raiders might just be my favourite film of ALL TIME. There's a lot riding on this...

I'm sure SS will do the faux leather belts and jacket, but I have a pretty good feeling we'll be seeing a plastic or rubbery hat.

The hat is my main worry. I've seen good Indys ruined by ill fitting, or mishapen, or out of scale hats. If the hats not right I'll pass on the figure no matter how good it is. The look of the hat is that important to the character and the figure. I'm hopeing it will be either plastic or rubbery. We don't stand a chance if it is cloth.

Only thing I'm worried about the hat is that it's got the proper brim and crown size with the proper bash to it. I have yet to see a Indy fedora in 1/6 scale size that was right. Sideshow has done a pretty good job with hats in the past though, the Van Helsing and Freddy Krueger figures I'm happy with

All the more reason for Sideshow to give us two head sculpts, one without the hat and one with it on in the same package a la Leia Boushh (hopefully they'll design a better multiple head neck joint for Indiana).

I don't know about that...

Still no product listed for podium #7.

I'm fairly sure two heads won't happen. Not only would it increase the costs to sculpt, tool, and paint a second head for an already costly, accessory heavy figure, I think most would prefer the posing options and realism a removable hat offers.

I'm not sure if there are better cost effective alternatives to a plastic hat. The cloth and fuzzy flocked 1:6 hats I've seen look far more doll-ish than a plastic one. As mentioned, The Van Helsing and Freddy hats are ok. The Toys McCoy hat looks pretty good to me. I'm sure Sideshow will sculpt one as good if not better. I just hope they make both the Raiders version and the Temple/Last Crusade style fedoras.

Even if they don't show any Indy stuff at SDCC just knowing they are working on it is enough for me. My mind is racing with what ifs...

Thought Chris said that there was a error in the online boothmap.

I didn't hear about that. Maybe there won't be any Indy stuff to see this weekend.

They did it on Leia Boushh, and I'm sure they can reuse some head sculpts for other variations. But I'd really hate to display an Indy without his Fedora and see hat hair. If it will be removable, it will probably be plastic.

Not Sideshow, but from the Hostile Midget:

Not my cup of tea, but I'm not liking them all that much personally.

Likenesses are kinda weak on both... also not into statues or busts so its not an issue.

Can't wait to see the Sideshow 1/6 figures :rock

Hasbro will be unveiling their prototype Indy figures tomorrow afternoon.

Perhaps Sideshow will do the same.
