It's hard to tell from that one screenshot with his body in motion. Did you take it? Got any more?
I don't. But from the few I've committed to memory, his jacket is longer than it's usually presented in action figures. When it's zipped up, it rides higher obviously, but when it's open it hangs well below the belt line on the hips.
I think if the PF had the length even with the sleeve it would be correct, for "Raiders".
The bottom of the jacket should be around mid pocket height, but I'm not too concerned about anything other than the paint apps.
It's one of those things SS could maybe fix well before this ships in December. Maybe. Hopefully.
Otherwise, I gotta pull and stretch the jacket down a bit. Quite a bit.

Yes the jacket is way too short on both the PF and 1/6. This is the length I've seen on most all custom and other Indy items. People assume it is bomber jacket length and it just isn't.
To me it doesn't matter if the jacket is screen accurate. I love this figure and can't wait till the 1/6th ships.
I don't expect Sideshow to correct the jacket so don't get your hopes up.

There were different screen jackets of varying lengths and sizes (in ALL of the films).

Thanks! I don't expect SS to address or fix this issue either as it's probably a big deal to change patterns at this point, but on the outside chance it could be fixed I figured it should be brought up.
I noticed this just before I ordered him, but sort of overlooked it in all the excitement.
If you check out the gallery shots on the product page, it definitely looks a few inches too short, especially from the back. Hate to say it, but it does kinda start to nag at ya once you notice it... I really do hope they notice it, and address the issue between now and production, but we shall see...

Well, I'm actually glad now that I got the exclusive! That head looks amazing--I'm having a hard time thinking of a better head sculpt of such a well known face that holds up even at that intense level of magnification.

That is an amazing shot there, all blown up and still looking pretty amazing. This sculpt is magnificent, and I don't say that often about anything. Now, if someone can make us a loose hat to sit on the pedestal or maybe clutched in his hand (if the idol hand isn't one piece) it could be a classic display option.

When I look at that finely painted stubble on the hi-res prototype pic, my thoughts are betrayed by images of production and Faramir.
