They said I must cancel NOW if I don't want it.

Really? I can't cancel later?

Sounds like SS really wants to know who's keeping this piece and who's gonna dump it.

When's it due? Next year some time?

Don't worry. They mean to cancel the conversion of your waitlist to an actual order. When your waitlist converts they say stuff like - "We will charge your card when ready to ship, if you don't want us to do this cancel conversion now."

I'm pretty sure you can cancel your converted order when ever you like just like the rest of us.

May be that is what they meant. I seem to recall when I had a waitlist convert they gave me the chance to cancel the conversion. Can't recall for sure though since it's been awhile. Plus no one has gotten a 14 day notice and those usually give you some time to cancel still so that makes even more sense that Wookilar is right.

They always use that language about canceling before a certain date when a waitlist converts. It doesn't mean that you can't cancel the order after.

Hey Wor-Gar - I'm in exactly the same boat as you are. I just got my conversion notice today and with everything else due in the next few months and the holidays approaching I've got to make a serious decision about whether or not to keep this PF.

When I ordered this in the spring I had no idea about everything else being released that would take priority. Most likely I'll have to let it go, but I'm giving myself until Monday to make the call.

My conversion had the same "cancel immediately" request as yours did. Kind of freaked me out for a minute because I had no idea what it was at first and thought it might already be heading my way.

That notice was weird, I've never seen one like it. It even had the cancel immediately in big caps! Some others here say that's standard for WL conversion notices.

I really wanted this as my first PF...but money's getting tighter every day. I think the 1/6th piece will have to suffice for my SS Indy representation.

i cancelled mine and my p.f. conan. i am just keeping my 12 inc indy and iron mans and that is it. i have lost my desire to collect....if i get to the point i don't want that stuff. i will probably cancel that too..
nothing is coming for me in 2009. it's a clean slate..
