Steve Buscemi just got his teeth fixed and posed for this sculpt

Isn't that the whole point? :lol

I need to see additional pics before passing my final judgement.

(EDIT)...this is what i'm talking about
in these pics it looks like an entirely different sculpture:

Cool, so what you're saying is, you really like it? :lol

The face looks crazy enough I guess, but overall the piece just doesn’t do it for me. I mean if you have the money then go ahead and buy all the mediocre crap that SS puts out. Personally I’ve decided to only purchase things that are exceptional too me or before I know it I’ll have a basement full of overpriced statues I wish I hadn’t bought. I think a lot of people on this forum want these pieces to be great and buy into the hype, but when the piece is actually revealed to be sub pare they have already convinced themselves it’s better than it actually is. These statues are a form of art and if they don’t speak to me like the comics and characters I love then it’s easy to say no. Just Say No People! :peace

So, have you considered that fact that others might not consider this mediocre crap? :slap

Your opinion is just that... "yours", If you don't like it that's fine don't buy it. Say "Congrats if you like it, but not for me" and move on... but making people feel bad by basically telling them they are suckers if they have the money to throw away on this and "you think" most people just get sucked into hype and buy stuff they don't want is ridiculous and is not the way to start off a healthy discussion. Remember these are discussion forums not "this is my opinion and you're stupid if you don't agree with it" forums.

I'm not saying everyone one should love everything but you certainly don't need to bully those who differ from you. The idea here is to support each other in this hobby we love.:peace

I think caution is always advised prior to placing an order for this. What you see on the floor at SDCC could be very different from what we get. Specially on pieces where the paint job is key.

I was not trying to bully anyone, I was trying to help. I collect other stuff and I know from personal experience that it’s easy to convince yourself you want something because you get caught up in the frenzy of collecting.

And I know what an opinion is, I was expressing mine. It’s called freedom of speech here in the USA. That is where you’re from right?

Plus Just Say No was my attempt at some humor. If you recall it was one of the former first lady’s slogans to say no to drugs.

The problem with the written word is everyone interprets it differently. Sorry if I offended you! It was not my goal. :1-1:

P.S. Do you work for SS?
(SS is trying to control you by sending in a ringer to refute anything negative, people) :peace

I still think it looks like Steve Buscemi with make up and dental work...

Missed my point entirely:slap

No I don't work for SS, I've had plenty of frustrations with them in the past and still do. Anyone who knows my rants about SS delays would never call me a ringer :lol

My only gripe was with talking down to board members here by telling them you think they are wasting their money and are just falling for hype because YOU don't like a piece... get it?

And ughhh really, the "proud amurican" stuff? I know free speech, blah blah, how about just being a decent, considerate human?

Missed my point entirely:slap

Seriously. (And damn you, tam, for beating me to this... :pfft: )

(Barring the blatantly poor misuse of 'too'...)

Self-important, elitist *********gery FTW!! :hi5:

Here's a couple of points about appreciating art:

Point 1: IT'S ENTIRELY SUBJECTIVE!!

Point 2: There is no 'Point 2'.

Propping yourself up by claiming you only collect "exceptional" while leaving mediocrity to the rest of us plebeians really does nothing to make you look good.
And, for what it's worth, if you dared to show off pictures of your so-called "exceptional" collection, I can guarantee you'd have some pieces in there that would have us saying "If you paid actual money for some of these, Barnum was right and they saw you coming a mile away."

Finally...

And I know what an opinion is, I was expressing mine. It’s called freedom of speech here in the USA. That is where you’re from right?

When I'm on message boards, I swear it's just about the funniest thing for me whenever I encounter the stereotypical, chest-thumping "'Murrica!!"-type. :rotfl

News flash, kid. This is not America. This is the Internet. No borders here. And since a healthy number of posters here (myself included) are not US citizens, I'll just tell you that your precious little Constitutional freedoms and privileges are utterly meaningless to us.

And since I'm feeling so charitable, here's a little knowledge for you because you really should know what you're beating your chest over...
The Freedom of Speech doctrine was basically created as a means to prevent government interference into an individual's freedom of expression. What it is not is an absolute shield of immunity to prevent others from taking you to task when you say something stupid.
In public. In print. On the Web.

Wherever.

Welcome to the Internet, kid. Take a look around.

We're not all like you.

the trouble I see with this bust is the angle it will be viewed at.

The proto pic looks like the intended angle... looking at this form the other side might look wierd.

I can't wait for SDCC! :rock
