Honestly, though, there need to be more games like this. Quantic Dream has been pretty ambitious, when it comes to melding video games and dramatic storytelling, but the game aspect often seems to be overshadowed. It seems like Naughty Dog has struck the perfect balance with this one, between the story, the gameplay, and the sheer realism.

Batfan: if you can find a copy cheap, get it - Take Shelter is AWESOME, IMO

And I agree about ND versus QD. ND is definitely more of a perfect game/story balance whereas QD has an awesome story, but very little actual game

That live action/game commercial is pretty well done - the dude started to look just like Joel

On a different note, when people said that the guy who played Sonic would be the new voice of Batman, I was pretty skeptical, but, when they said that he was also Joel in The Last of Us, that made it all better.

That's a lot of perfect reviews! I checked out only two, IGN and Adam Sessler, and both said the game was 17+ hours for them, so even if that's because they took their time exploring, to know it's long is such a relief to me, it was the one thing that I was most concerned about. Wow I cannot wait to play this for myself!

That commercial was pretty awesome too, the music really sets a great mood.

it's an 17+ hours game because you can't just go there guns blazing.. it's a game that really requires patience & involves lots of sneaking.. if you are a guy who runs out of patience quickly and want to go through it quickly just for the sake as it's a chore.. u'll be disappointed with the game

I got the SURVIVAL EDITION on order. I had it on order before all these reviews, about two months ago!

Now I'm super happy I have this coming, and artbook and collectible steelbook for this masterpiece!

Not saying you're wrong, but Bioshock Infinite will have something to say about that.

True dat. I appreciate ALL top games. I won't say one is more ultimate over the other, when a few are quite good and easily the best of the year.

MGS3's hunger and stamina and eating was genius. This taking to limited ammo route (hopefully true) and melee combat will be another awesome step.

Yeah, I'm intrigued by this aspect of the game, as well. To be honest, I've never really played any survival games, so this is all new to me, but I definitely am looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

I haz a sad, too. I'll probably have to buy the game, as they'll all surely be rented out by the time I wake up (one of the downsides of a Man of Steel midnight show).
