I think the love for Uncharted 3 might've been because of the BS "9.2576321" stuff that they pulled with its predecessor. On a different note, I'm giddy at the fact that everyone's like Red Dead is the only one that deserves to be on that list. Respect.

That's a good point about Uncharted 2...I hate when reviewers nickel and dime scores like that. If the game is a 9.75, it's a goddamn 10. Which Uncharted 2 most definitely was.

And Red Dead is a masterpiece, anything said to the contrary will fall on my deaf ears.

Exactly, it's ****ing stupid. They teach us to round up from .5 from a young age in schools, it should be the same for review scores.

Red Dead is for me the best game of this generation. It had memorable characters, a great story, and the atmosphere was pitch perfect. If i'm dying for a sequel of any game it's RDR. After i watched Django Unchained, i had to go back and just put a few hours in the game. And I couldn't help but be a little disappointed that Tarantino got to that story first. I would love to see a RDR using the Django premise. I just want more.

Yeah, Red Dead is definitely at the top of the good chain. I love the Batman games, but comparing the two would be like comparing apples to oranges, as they're so utterly different. So, with that being said, Red Dead is easily the best game I've played (outside of the action/adventure genre) of not only this generation, but those previous, as well.

I found RDR boring, tbh. and it froze halfway through, which was the final nail in the coffin. I haven't been back to it since, but I may do soon.

I try to replay it once a year. Last year, though, I finally got 100%, I'm going to have to do that again.

You've got to power through, man. I like you enough to not excommunicate you for blasphemy, but try to beat it. If you make it through, I think you'll appreciate it more.

The Arkham games were amazing, but yeah they fall into a different category. I don't know if it's better than anything last generation. Last generation gave me my fav game of all time Star Wars knights of the Old Republic. I still have an Original Xbox just to play that one game.

I tried powering through dude but as I said it decided to freeze and stop working and that was it for me. But I am now wanting to play it again because of this thread.

I'm so angry this game got ruined for me some game website broke embargo and said its the best game of this generation. I just watched the BBC Documentary about Cordyceps Fungi, which is what ND based the game on it looks insane how in ant's it makes their eyes glaze over and while they dying they climb as high as they can atop the ant hill to infect the rest of the colony. and it spreads from ants to frogs etc. crazy stuff

Watch out! First twenty minutes is out and I stumbled on a huge spoiler in the video pic and turned it off quickly. I had a theory on what I saw due to some footage that was shown earlier and I was right but still watch out with different sites

I don't get why people are so upset? It's not like an 8/10 is a bad score, and, even less so, when it is only one in a flood of perfects. It reminds me of the people who went nuts when TDKR came out. An 87% isn't that bad, it's 13% away from having a perfect critical rating. Not to go off topic, but people take these things way too seriously. One reviewer might have different tastes and/or have higher standards than another reviewer, that's okay. Hell, I've gathered that I'm the same way with these figures. It's all just subjective, and, if I can take from it that even those who weren't blown away by it still liked it, then it seems like we're good to go.

That's what I'm worried about. People can be asshats sometimes. Perhaps a mod should change the title to include a "spoiler tags please" notice.
