Well Joel doesn't have to be in every game though. In the second game he could be secondary character to Ellie. He's pretty old so it would be cool to see Ellie take his place as a hardened young girl with good survival skills.

It would not surprise me if Joel is either dead or dies early in the sequel. That would set the mood for a whole new beginning, with just Ellie trying to find out the truth.

I can't see them set up a relationship between these two just to kill him off, at least not in the first sequel. This will definitely be a trilogy.

A more tastefull piece of art , and one of the best concept drawings imo. Good to see them happy and laughing for a change, i like to think this scene might have played out sometime during their journey that we did not get to see.

Wish we got a scene like this in the game. It would create that "break" in the game where you can see them enjoying each others company and laughing. Which is why the Giraffe part was one of my favorite part in the game since it's the closet there is to that picture.
