Re: 'The Last of Us' - new IP from Naughty Dog

I just saw the Giraffe. Seeing how incredibly rendered it was blew me away, but, by far, the best part of it was seeing the sense of wonder on Ellie's face, especially, after all she'd been through with David.

I just beat it, and, I must say, I think Red Dead has some competition. This is one of the best games I've played this generation, or, any generation, thus far, and it really tugged at your heartstrings.

Where'd all the conversation go? If ever there was a time that I needed someone to talk about this game with, it's now. I'm still reeling from it.:lol

Re: 'The Last of Us' - new IP from Naughty Dog

That's great that you loved it batfan. :)

I've been playing multi player just about everyday. Had a few bad games earlier so I played more tonight to make me feel better. It's addicting.

It's 2 teams of 4 players each, the maps are small and very well designed so there's room for both strategy and action.

Ah okay. I want the platinum for this game but I hate MP. Add me on PSN: Raybeez_

XD I know what you mean, if I get bad matches I get frustrated and I go like: "Hell no, I'm nobody's fool, I'll show them" :lol

Got that right buddy. I badly want a franchise but it might ruin the epic first game. I just loved Ellie and Joel so much. It's like once you play this game every other game you play doesn't compare or feel right. This game raised a bar.

Yes it has, high.

I certainly want sequels but not to this story, so I guess, technically they're not sequels :lol

The more I think about it, the more I think there's a lot of untapped potential in this series. Granted, I love this game, as it is, and I'd be perfectly fine with it being a stand alone title, but, if Naughty Dog ever wanted to make sequels, this universe is ripe with material. For Joel and Tommy, you have a 20 year gap, and, somethings I'm surprised haven't been mentioned, as far as possibilities go, are the gaps in the actual story of Joel and Ellie. You've, potentially, got a whole other story to tell, in the form of what happened between Henry and his brother and Jacksonville, then between Colorado and Utah, etc. Hell, there's probably even a bit of time in Colorado between Ellie and Joel.

Then, of course, there's the possibility of sequels following different characters. I've heard people say they're against a prequel with Joel because they're so used to Ellie, but, what if you played as Tommy? That's another person's story, entirely, and you could have it pick up right after Sam, with Joel in a role not unlike Ellie's.

Re: 'The Last of Us' - new IP from Naughty Dog

Hope we get more of bill or tommy on the upcoming DLC.. Bills sarcasm really makes me laugh all the time :))

Re: 'The Last of Us' - new IP from Naughty Dog

Well seeing how there is about a half dozen states between Pittsburgh and Jackson, I think we need some filler in between.

Re: 'The Last of Us' - new IP from Naughty Dog

It's one of a select few that's worth the cost of retail.

I beat Normal mode last night after gathering up all the artifacts. The game can be beaten around 10 hours if you have it on a lower difficulty and you know what you're doing. My first playthrough was around 16. It's still a reasonably long game no matter how you slice it.

I clocked in at 18 hrs 28 minutes exactly. For a linear single player campaign, that's great as it's not open world.

Batfan, now as I have completed this i'm going to give red dead another shot! :hi5:

I will, but don't be offended if I don't join for a while. I'm usually in a full party.

It took me 15 hours. Best 15 hours of my video game life I think (besides UC2).

Tomb Raider done (loved it) now time to start this one. I like what I'm reading about it.
