I think you're right. It would have been nice if the pose was of him coming out of the pond, with one leg out, standing a bit upright. But no... 15 pounds...

'it's an unreal piece...he'll be two feet tall and have glowing eyes! our customers will love it!'

'what??!!! that will be too cost prohibitive! We are losing our shirts on this piece as it is, what with ensuring a reasonable price point of $500 and all. These are tough times people, we must retain customer loyalty by making a reasonable pricepoint our top priority.'

The weight is probably just a carry over from the template. I'm sure it will be much heavier.

Personally I think the legs disappearing into the swamp is cool. As are the lightup eyes. It's not a matter of either/or, it's a matter of what makes the best looking piece and still makes it producible for a price.
