I know fans of the sow will disagree but I really wish this show had a better musical score. I'm just not a fan. If you are going to show a bunch of old SW stuff then give us some more classic SW music.. Does not have to be the whole score.. Does not have to be all the themes.. Just something that connects the show to the rest of the material more.
Wont happen, they want it to have it's own identity, plus John Williams isn't attached. The score is actually amazing. Not only is composer Ludwig Goransson an oscar winner, but his method is amazing to follow. We really are blessed to have yet another brilliant composer in the Star Wars family. Since it's all part of the Disney family you'd be better off following some of their other music and just.., let it go~~~ the score never bothered most fans anyway... xp hahhaha

Bobas Jetpack and helmet?

At first I wasn?t fond of the soundtrack, but I?ve come to love it. A great mix between old western and SW. mixed in with some modern electronic parts.

Yeah, but it's Mando on the speeder though so it looks like he obtains it somehow.
That entirely possible. The "mando speeder" is just your typical swoop bike though. All will be revealed in time. I honestly dont want to look at the trailer as close as you have. I'd rather wait and be surprised / enjoy it once it's been unravelled lol. But hey that's me. ;)

Yeah but it's the chromed-out jetpack and helmet that gives it away as being Din Djarin. They are definitely keeping plenty of surprises, this is just a tease if anything.

Go back and read lool. I never said it wasnt Din, just that he used a common swoop which I'm still confused to this day on whether it's an actual speeder bike. I was wondering if Josh's character doesnt initially have a similar generic set of armor but I guess I didnt relya that well enough Buttttttt the tease of that speeder bike with the scout jumping and hitting hard as the scout hits slides and corrects with his foot got me all misty!!! I was like w000000

Who is Josh..?

Who is Josh..?
Sorry I derped, Timothy Olphant and Joshua Duhamel look too similar, so I was naming the wrong actor. But Timothy is basically playing the a character 'running around in boba fetts armor' whether that's bobas modded jango fett armor and his rotj armor in tow or something else was where my head was going. I think we saw boba and heard his spurs because he is trying to track him down and this is probably how he crosses paths with Mando. I guess we'll only find out when it debuts.

It's not meant to make sense, it's meant to entertain. Otherwise, how practical are walkers when you can fly or hover? You'd have to get rid of AT-RTs, AT-STs, AT-ATs and all that. A hover tank would be more practical... but lets face it, robot dinosaurs are cool!

Plus, what Sweet Rabbit said. You don't want Ewoks building Death Stars do you?

Its true. Pedro is out. Deadline reporting that Jim Carrey will play the Mandalorian in Season 2 reveal.

Apparently he gets out of trouble by using his "talking ass" trick. And his Whistling Birds are not what you think they are.

Carano must be out too then, for not pandering to the sjw crowd that smartly tried to bully her.

That leaves Baby. Guess the Child can just toddle around and force-choke Moff and an entire squad of Death Troopers. The End.:r2d2line

I think the score is great and ties into the Space Western theme. The Star Wars Universe is so massive that you can do almost anything with it. The show isn't connected to the (yet?) movies, so it doesn't have to sound the same or do anything the same. Every movie we've had has tied into the Skywalker Saga, and I don't think that everything has to.

I know what its going for but I dont even think its all that successful capturing a western feel..

Basically the music fails to get me excited. Does nothing for me. I love all sorts of soundtracks and have an extensive collection.. Nothing with this shows music hits me.

I am not saying he needs a big Orchestral theme.. But something I could hum to would be nice.

But like I said I know it has its fans... It just takes me out of the show a bit and reminds me that I am watching a TV show.

I'm in the camp that didn't like it initially but has come to like it - though not love it. Gives the show a fun (at times even silly) distinctive flavor to me but that's about it.

Not sure the JW orchestral score would work either though - not only would it start to feel a little "it's SW so it has to be JW" (like how many times can variations on the Imperial march be used?) but also the OT is about sweeping myth and deep personal journey so those stirring JW scores work well.

Mando is more about SW fun (and the right kind of fan service) and tough-guy antics while taking care of a baby - it's not the same mythic good vs evil, deep journey into self discovery and dark soul that the OT was. So spaghetti Western score seems to suit it better.

Grace is a complete dimwit, but is she stupid enough to make up a story like this about Pascal?

I sure hope it's not true as being rumored, because if it is Pascal is really acting ridiculous. Helmet on is a huge component to the story of the show. It also wouldn't be so difficult to replace him for this very reason. Until there is better evidence than Grace's word he certainly deserves the benefit of the doubt.

That was my point but the consensus around here is she is just a really big dimwit. We will know soon enough, if his character disappears halfway thru well atleast we know why if not she is done- aint nobody going to believe a word she says after tripling down on her bullcrap story.

They are pushing Ahsoka alot anyway, worst case scenario (rumor is true) id be fine with Mando handing baby yoda to ahsoka and following them on an adventure for the last 4 episodes. Its not ideal but id be cool with it, cause i like both baby yoda and Ahsoka

If it is true I wonder which of these is his problem - the lack of facetime so that people know it's him and so he can act with his actual face or the mere fact of it being a pain in the arse to wear a helmet that impedes your vision and hearing....

If baby Yoda is leaving this season, I have a feeling the show is going to tank in season three. I sincerely hope I?m wrong, but that little baby adds a lot of entertainment value to the show. There is a chemistry now, but you get rid of one element and the chemistry changes. They have some big shoes to fill, ironically. Even if Pascal left, you never see his face. Take the child away, it?s going to change everything.

I doubt The Child will leave, honestly. I think Din has just been set on a wild goose chase and even if he does find some Jedi I doubt he'd be willing to part with the kid after everything they've been through. The most likely scenario would be him finding Luke Skywalker, but if that was the case surely we would have seen The Child in at least The Rise of Kylo Ren?
