Ironic that the Child is afraid to see violence And death , but Yoda is ok with it

He isn’t afraid of violence. He choked Cara out didn’t he?

I assumed he did it because Mando gave him a signal to close it to protect himself.

Nice trailer interesting enough to want more yet bland enough to give nothing away..... except all the reports of "more" behind the scenes drama. Pedro, I feel ya but come on.

Disabled a Mudhorn for the kill, choked out Cara, incinerated the Incinerator Trooper, and was about to hit the criminal pilot droid hunting him before Mando took him out first.

Baby Yoda's a stone cold G.

Why have boats when they can fly ships? Doesn't serve any purpose. Just like the "train" in Solo. Cool sequence, no doubt, but completely pointless.

He's not afraid at all he was just protecting himself, he is smart. Their race is force sensitive, yoda hated violence just like the child prolly does but it seems neither if afraid to do what must be done....

Srsly no-one on a hypersecret set blabbed to a YouTuber. Unless they didn't feel like working on a hit show and/or working in Hollywood again. If someone can prove Pedro Pascal walked over Favreau and Filoni to whine like a ***** to Lucasfilm I'd buy 'em a Yoda plushy.

This is just the usual trash that mushrooms around a successful effort. Grace might as well announce George Lucas hates the Child because he wasn't the one who thought it up.

We have flying ships yet trains and boats are still very widely used on this planet. Everything has a cost and surely a boat or train would still be much cheaper than a flying ship in the Star Wars universe. There are plenty of poor areas of the galaxy so I don’t see any reason why a boat would be unrealistic to use.

We don't have anti-gravity capability though. And it seems to be an inexpensive and ubiquitous thing in the SW universe (ie even a training ball has it.)

There are rules in OT SW - no wheels, no buttons/zippers, no paper/books etc - and stuff like anti-gravity Jabba's sail barge/skiffs does seem to question why you'd need an actual boat, but I assume stuff would indeed float in a SW universe ocean (and if wheel exists, it would work too) so technically it should be able to be worked in...

To me it's more about the conceptual design and way its done - the boat and dock area in the trailer literally look like they could be in Nova Scotia or something. At least that silly ocean/death star sequence in TROS has a "fantasy" style boat/glider for her to get out to it on.

It's always fun when stuff like this comes up - what "fits" and what doesn't in the SW universe.

Star Wars has always been a mixture of the futuristic and the very basic.

Luke lived in a hole in the ground, but the family car was repulsorlift. The Jawas are technologically skilled but trundle across the desert in an oversized tracked tank.

Stormtroopers patrol the wastes on Dewbacks.

As in contemporary life people make the best of what they have, what they can get access to, what they can afford. The galaxy that George built is home to both the fabulously wealthy and those just eking out a living.

As slikkerias implied, sometimes it's the simpler things that function best.

Yes, and we should also try not to apply too much logic to the SW universe. It kind of ruins it.
You are totally right. When a stormtrooper can choose a Dewback as transport there?s no reason not to have a boat [emoji2369]
Edit: and to apply some logic anyways the weather over seas can be ruff and it might be safer on a boat than flying since you could easily crash - flying cars make more sense on land.

Bobas Jetpack and helmet?

I know fans of the sow will disagree but I really wish this show had a better musical score. I'm just not a fan. If you are going to show a bunch of old SW stuff then give us some more classic SW music.. Does not have to be the whole score.. Does not have to be all the themes.. Just something that connects the show to the rest of the material more.

I think the score is great and ties into the Space Western theme. The Star Wars Universe is so massive that you can do almost anything with it. The show isn't connected to the (yet?) movies, so it doesn't have to sound the same or do anything the same. Every movie we've had has tied into the Skywalker Saga, and I don't think that everything has to.
