EDIT 1/29/2014

Someone had to try and be funny so I got all stupid and had to post about how awesome my wife is.

Forgive my indulgence but love makes you do crazy things

Kitt is not only my partner in life bur she is the inspiration for most of what I build.

I wish everyone could be with a person for 20 years and still love them to death. I look forward to many more years with Kitt and what those years will bring.

Mushy rant about love and my awesome wife turned off.....

Original Post:

My wife had the coolest idea.

A roundish shaped room with a continuous circle of connected HAO bays attach to the ceiling.

I added to her concept by placing a 1:1 scale HOA bay adjacent to the entrance with a full scale armor or suit.

I don’t know how many bays it would take or the final outside diameter but I know there is someone here that’s rich enough to do this.

If your good with math and have a HOA unit see if you can figure out how many this would take.

Maybe theyre sick of seeing you start a new thread everytime a shiny object catches your eye

Re: The Most Awesome 1/6 HOA Concept EVER

Oh no he started another thread... get over it, if your bothered by it don't open it and comment.

Re: The Most Awesome 1/6 HOA Concept EVER

By "wife", don't you really mean "mom" ?

Re: The Most Awesome 1/6 HOA Concept EVER

Sorry, I don't live in my mom’s basement and wish I could marry her, she's a sweet enough lady but my brain just aint twisted like that, but if that’s normal for your neck of the woods who am I to judge.

By the way, my wife is probably the most awesome woman a geek like me could have married, she loves sci-fi and we love the same shows like Fire Fly, Star Wars, Star Trek and most of the comic franchises. I love her so much we have been married and remarried 3 times

Here we are right after I got back from a deployment

When we built our custom 3000 sqft house (that I blueprinted) we dedicated an entire 11x14 room to our Star Wars collection. But she developed a medical condition and my solution was to move our primary hangout area downstairs so I converted the Star Wars room and the dining room into a 14 x 24 mega den and at her request I created display areas in each of the 4 corners,.

She is the most supportive wife I could have ever fell in love with and we have been together for 20 years.

She's so awesome that 2 or her favorite gifts from this past Christmas are a Kaylee inspired message bag (purse) and Kaylee's parasol from the first episode of Fire Fly.

I have friends that have to display their stuff in converted garages or spare bedrooms but I get to hang out in our den with my wife and dog and all of our crazy little trinkets.

She has helped me work out some cool displays and she actually figured out a lot of cool ways to improve the "four corners".

I built this entertainment center about 18 years ago and since TVs all went to 16x9 ratio it became kind of useless

She came up with a way for me to modify it and it became the computer desk in our new den and it will eventually house our War Machine / Iron Patriot Collection.

But it’s not all about the den and our collections, I love to build and she loves to cook so why wouldn’t she have an awesome kitchen, which I affectionately call her work shop:

I could go on about my wife Kitt for days but I will limit myself for now. I’m sure this is a lot to take in, so you might want to pop another Adderall, drink a monster and play some X-box so you don’t have to think about what a woman’s ****** must feel like

" Guys I got an idea about doing something but I'm not sure I'm gonna do it, but maybe someone else could do it. But I'm not gonna describe it too well, all I know is it will cost a lot of money. And basically I want to glue a bunch of toys to the ceiling. I'm also eating spaghetti right now. "

I know it's so weird. Starting new threads on a FORUM.

God, what was I thinking.

BTW: Lipsmack is the only person I have EVER put on ignore

I made it clear I wasn't going to do it and that it was just a concept.

As for the description of the concept, if you can figure out what I was talking about , well....... I must resist.

As for what I'm eating, it's breakfast time here and I'm about to eat waffles and sausage, cooked by my wonderful wife in her awesome kitchen

Guys (or ladies, as the case may be),

Yes, perhaps this wasn't the most eloquent or well thought out thread started by Boba D, but this guy's been around various collector's forums for years. Dave, I know you from over at The RPF and your carpentry skills are amazing. Btw, he's a 15 year, well respected member over there folks, who's been around since many of you were still having your diapers changed.

I stumbled upon this thread and honestly can't believe how sophomoric you all sound and how judgmental.

Carry on.

Pretty much.

“sophomoric” great word use. It fits so many members here. If you don’t mind the fodder this place has a ton of info.

I actually can describe the general feeling of most of the threads I read about a new release thread with 6 statements

1. It costs too much
2. The sculpt it all wrong
3. Pass, not enough accessories

This normally accounts for about 2000 posts over a few months

Then someone posts in hand pictures and you get this

4. Wow, that awesome, I just bought one
5. I got my “we will be charge your account soon notice” I better sell my last figure so I can pay for this one
6. Yay, they charged my account
7. Did anyone get a shipping notice
8. Yay I got a shipping notice
9. This is taking FOR EVER
10. Yay, I got my figure check it out (insert pic of new figure on Detolf shelf with 4 other variations of the same figure)

That all works out to about 4000 post.

I have found that if I start at the back few pages I actually get to see the when the adults post

Thats a nice house you got.

Thanks, it’s my biggest hobby and I love working on it. I love build things and a house is just about the biggest thing a person of normal means can build.

Your house is beautiful. I finally understand why your forum name is " Boba Debt"
:hi5:

Thanks.

I’m glad you figured out my ID, I use it on every forum or internet venue

When I first got back into the movie memorabilia hobby I discovered it was very costly so I always found myself short on cash, I even worked second jobs and built things for people while I was in the Corps to support my collections.

But now that we are Dave Ramsey Debt Free I tend to enjoy my hobbies more, and have the means to build or buy what every I truly want. I wanted a 1/12 scale HOA and I found a way to make it happen, it end up costing me $700 but I love it

I could actually bring this HOA concept to life but I don’t truly want it. I just thought it would be cool. I actually have a room that it could almost work in.

In our master bedroom we have a copula ( an eight sided room on the corner of our house) Here is an old picture of the house to better explain it

It might be perfect for this but I’m not going to do it, even though it would look really cool

Pretty much.

:lol

Lipsmack is on ignore so I missed this comment.

I guess most of you would rather add to the noise of a thread with 4000+posts about a toy that hasn't even been released yet instead of engaging in a conversation with an adult.

On most forums, 90% of the posts in the majority of these threads would be considered a waste of bandwidth, but here in bizarreo world, 60 posts stating "I got my shipping notice followed by 60 posts saying "the wait is illing me" is more "important" then a post about different ways of doing something or a random cool thought about something hobby related.

I can guarantee you that if I posted a picture of our copula with wall to wall Detolfs that were over loaded with Hot Toys action figures the thread would have 2000 posts by now.

If there wasn't so much good info here I would have ditched this place on day two.

But for now I will hang out and feed the trolls.

Forum is all Iron Man'd out.

Nevah!
.. moar Ironmanz!

Don't rise to the bait, Boba.. Gratz on 20 yrs with your wife, nice house btw.. yeah, a Hall of Armor would be cool but it's extremely unlikely to add value to the property.. unless it was in a basement 'man cave' / home cinema room.

Lovely House and family photo. You have amazing skills. Wish you were local so you can help me out with my collection :) . Who knows maybe one day :)

Cheers

Thanks

"Don't rise to the bait" - I'm a former Marine so confrontation was part of my life. I have no issue with confronting trolls and/or tools, in fact it's kind of fun to see them spaz over the slightest little comment.

Most of what we do to modify our house doesn't add to the value but this could be done in a reversible way.

I would just like to know how many units it would take to make a circle, wouldn't it be cool if it was 42 :)

My dream job would be traveling the country building man caves and kitchens but since that would not pay the bills I'll settle from my current job fixing helicopters 7 days a week.

Normally I would not have the time to post so much but Eastern NC is shut down for 2 days due to snow.
