Thanks, JAWS! I got email confirmation that I got # 40. This thing looks nuts! I of course watched Jaws yesterday on blu-ray to check out all the scars on Bruce. I wonder if there is a limit to the amount that will be made. They confirmed a cast would be made right away and they would contact me in 30 - 90 days to confirm shipping...

I was within a hair's breadth of using my tax refund to pick up either this one or the 1/6 Bruce head ...

And then my car heard I'd gotten a tax refund and decided he'd quite like to have all of that money and then some!

I've been thinking about selling my Sideshow Jaws maquette and putting the proceeds toward one of these beasts. The maquette was my first sideshow piece and was only about $270 at the time. This would be a step up in size and big step up in money. For those that are familiar with both pieces, is it worth doing? I'm thinking about the new 3 Foot Long Bruce Shark or the new Tow-Sled Shark from Shark City Ozark. Any thoughts or recommendations regarding these two versions or the many different options/stands? Thanks.

JAWS should be along shortly, he's the go to guy for this stuff.

From what I've seen I would never pick the SS maquette over the Ozark pieces, pricey yes but custom made and so detailed. Can't wait to get mine!

Absolutely you should trade up! You can't go wrong with the Shark City Ozark pieces. They are FAR beyond any other Bruce items out there.

I have the 3 foot Bruce shark. Here is how I had it built for me.

The All New Deluxe Wooden Dry Dock
Added Harpoons
Added 3 Barrels
Medium Gore
Originally ordered eyes slightly forward but like full black better so I painted them full black
Soft Air Brush line details.

Here are photos of mine again (you can see the eyes slightly forward in some of them)

The smaller one in the photo below is the 25 inch ultimate Bruce which I also highly recommend. I love it.

I love the new tow sled shark and would get all the extras the same way....

I would love to order one but I just don't have the room.


If I had to pick one out of the two I would go with the original three foot shark... The open mouth look is just more Iconic. Personal opinion but if I did not have one already that is the way I would still go. I love the tow sled though. You win either way.

Thank you for the advice. I have a number of things on pre-order at the moment but, eventually, I'm going to try to sell my SS maquette and save for one of these beautiful pieces (most likely the 3 foot open mouth).

Just curious...it looks like you owned others besides the two you currently have on display. What did you think of Brucette from Jaws 2 and the others? Did you sell them?

Thanks for the nice comments about my collection.

Yes I had a few others. I had the original Bruce NTT 3 foot shark... It was the first one done by SSO and was limited to 75. As nice of a low ES that was I had to sell because his new 3 footer was much better (practice makes perfect)

I also had the smaller 12 inch Bruce. I sold him to make some cash for the new NTT also.

I had the Brucette but sold that to a friend of mine. She is a huge JAWS fan also and she wanted it to go with her Bruce Bust. I got the 24inch ultimate bruce (the one that is in my display photos) Brucette was nice but I got more because I was able to by it from Mike himself at Jawsfest. I was the first one to get to own one and that made it pretty cool. But JAWS 2 is way down on my list of fav movies so I was willing to part with it for the 24 inch original Bruce.

I didnt think about that.. Mike does not start making them until the final payment is done.. Thus the 30 to 60 days.
