I don't want to derail this thread but I need to post this here. ( For the mods it isn't a "for sale " post )
I've had a few pm's regarding the Deckard head . The mould was only a quick one, it was only meant to make a few casts , not as many as it did.( It was only a personal project for my brother and myself ). The later casts had tiny pin holes in the surface on the cheeks and the people buying them knew beforehand about the clean up required and agreed to do it.
I didn't want to sell sub standard casts ( ie with the pinholes ) but some still wanted a cast. Some of the casts weren't cleaned up prior to painting (for whatever reason) . If you're happy to do the work to clean it up then go for it , its just a case of putting some putty or filler over the surface and smoothing with your finger and some water and you're done . I could even do it for you ?
You've seen what the end result looks like and Kuato's done a really excellent job on it, I'm very flattered to see something that I've worked on result in something as awesome as this ! I actually don't even have a painted head myself !! Well done to the both of you !
How, exactly, did you go about modifying the Indy head to turn it into Deckard, especially with the buzz cut and all? You would never have known. Nice work man. The reason I ask is that might take up the challenge myself and convert an Hatless Indy.
What are the best shoes to get for Deckard? Anyone have pics from the movie? I am getting the Blind Voyeur clothing set, but not sure about the shoes. Any help would be appreciated!!
Alright. I've been saving my 1,000th post for this.
As a huge lover of Blade Runner, the headsculpt on my Deckard had finally outlived it's welcome in my detolf.
Since my girlfriend left me this week, it seemed as good a time as any to pick a project. I bought a dremel tool, and sanded all the hair off my spare Indy head. Used some Sculpy, gave him a new hairdo, and painted it all up. Started at about midnight last night, and just finished this afternoon. It's not perfect, but for my first attempt at this sort of project, I'm proud of myself. The photo's just don't seem to capture much, as he looks mucho better in person under various lights. Regardless, my Deckard now actually looks like Harrison Ford in there, which is nice.
I just won a V3 AH BR on ebay and have the carson head with Les so I hope to be good to go on mine. I will def get a repacement narrow shoulder HT TT Body.
Anyone know the differences between the V3 Android Hunter and BrothersProd Blade Hunter Outfits? The AH seems to be pretty good outfit although I'm not crazy about the shirt. I may ask Ryan ( Blind Voyeur) if he can provide a shirt and tie, we'll see.
Master Wayne, the hair is definitely off to good start, but I do think that you're showing a little too much forehead. Other than that, it is inspiring me to do something similiar to my hatless Indy head...
